Very happy with this signing, yes he has obviously had a bad season but all the stats from previous seasons look great and he should really excel in this league so overall definitely looks an upgrade on KSP

Really quite happy with this one. only thing that sticks out for me is that some past and present players stand out as having rough seasons prior to signing for panthers, whether it be injury or just struggling to find there flow. i hope he finds his feet early in notts. interesting to see he spent last season playing with DAB .

This guy looks AWESOME. The AHL is a country mile higher than this league and he performed very well there very recently. Genuinely excited by this signing.

You guys are fast, I googled him and found his wiki page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Kowalski"On 8th July 2010 Kowalski was revealed as the new starting netminder for Nottingham Panthers in Great Britain's Elite Ice Hockey League"

Very impressed with this one and im glad CN has seized the chance in trying to upgrade on KSP, good stats all through his career., Id expect him to be one of the better netties in our league this year.
Now for that tough no nonsense d man!

Wow! This guy looks absolute class from his stats and should be one of the best netminders in the league. Very likely the best goalie in Nottingham in many a year since he whose curse shall not be mentioned.
I now expect to hear howls of derision from the rest of the league about wage caps and it being impossible to afford this guy on the wages we probably had slated for KSP.
This signing gets me genuinely excited for what the Panthers could achieve in 2010-11 and it's been a long long time since I'd say something like that.

Looks a fairly good signing and a fellow Hockeytown 'burbs man to boot.
BTW, does anyone know if the Panthers are likely to sign a spell-checker anytime soon? Its MICHIGAN, in case anyone from the office is checking in.

Interesting... stats certainly don't tell the whole story, but this guy's stats are consistently good at every level he's played (including AHL!). And a good stick-handling goalie is just what I like to see (not easy for a goalie to score!). Bit short, though... so I hope he's nicely acrobatic. I'm wary of going too overboard here, but this potentially looks like a very good signing. Nice work, Corey! I now expect to hear howls of derision from the rest of the league about wage caps and it being impossible to afford this guy on the wages we probably had slated for KSP. Ah, stuff 'em! There'd be cries of "wage cap foul!" from some people if we signed a rec goalie. Anyway, it looks like things didn't go too well for him last season (due to a poor team, it seems) so that might have artificially depressed his price. People can speculate all they like about our wage bill, but no-one knows the truth. And as a counter to the inevitable accusations... the team as a whole looks like it might not be costing as much (or no more!) than last season's crew.

Happy with this guy let's just hope he turns out to be as good in the flesh as he looks on paper!
And that he copes well when our D goes AWOL up the ice!!

Very pleased that "Killer" is joining us.
It looks like he made it on to the bench for a couple of NHL games with Hurricanes, but didnt get any ice time.
I'm also curious to know what this means: "Craig was a "Black Ace" during the Hurricanes run to the Stanley Cup championship in 2006"
edit - it seems a Black Ace is a spare, who does not play.

As with everyone else that has posted so far, I'm really happy with Craig's signature. Any netminder who can produce a 90%+ save average in the AHL has to be pretty sharp!
Well done Corey and the GM for pulling this one out of the bag!
Now for the final brick in 'K-Wall's' wall!! ;D

So I think I have figured out that he saves 91% to 92 % of shots fired at him
(Apart from last season)
How does that compare with our previous netminders stats each season ?

Wowzers - good goalie signing. As others have said he's got me genuinly excited. Lets hope he doesnt take as long to get his angles sorted as KSP!

Pleased with this signing, more happy with this than the return of St Pierre. Who I've heard will be playing for the Fort Wayne Comets next year. So much for being retired from the sport.

Funny you should say that I was thinking back to last season when an excuse made for KSP is that it takes netminders a long time to get used to differnt sized ice rinks than they have played on in the past Is this guy coming from the same situation ?

Don't Italy play on the larger ice surface so thats possibly what happened to his stats last year. Lets hope so. Anyway I'm looking forward to hearing some Primal Scream at the NIC next season.
