If we are taking about expectations well yes i thought we should have won or at least put up a fight in cardiff rather than died with a fizzle. Didnt really expect sheffield to win though. Mind you i thought we should have beaten newcastle at home twice too (let alone win away from home) which would have put last weekends result in cardiff into perspective... As for form well for years first durham and then sheffield lost games at the end of the season when it didnt matter then blew away the same opposition in the playoffs so thats a fairly poor argument really. finally pidge i cant say i am glad we have taken cov to the final weekend as there is no trophy for second place or third for that matter...

I know there isn t and no one remembers 2nd / 3rd etc but what can be done now, people on here seem to be experts at dwelling on things.
Last sundays was a 2-0 game to be fair, it was hardly a blow out and some said Lyle played very well.
Its another season of `if onlys` like seasons gone past. nothing can be done now except hope the coach ( possibly CN) can fine tune the side and put correct the faults and be better next year, lets be honest we weren t far off this year so i would keep the majority of the side and just change the NM and defence ( corey gone/behind bench and replace DD) .

I dont want to dwell on this either pidge its same old same old as far as panthers are concerned and to be honest i am fed up hearing off other fans "theres always next season" its annoying and quite patronising when their clubs can achieve the success panthers so obviously lack year after year.
To say nothing can be done is disengenuous to the supporters who have supported the club (financially and in numbers both home and away), you are right but unless it is used as a learning exercise (and the club have not exactly learnt from a lack of panthers success in the past) then it is yet another season on top of many where the best supported club in the country fail to deliver what has been promised.
gnats whisper or a mile, its all the same if you arent first Pidge, thought u would agree with that. As for personnel put my views on that on the other thread, briefly massively improve the defence and get some muscle up front..

I think we still need to be pushing to win these three games as second place is still within our grasp.
Second place is first loser blah blah blah, but it could be the ticket into Europe for next season, if there are going to be the Continental Cup and the Champions League.
Second place would also most likely mean that we get Vipers in the quarter finals as well.

Lets see how it goes, Caps are 2 D men and 1 forward down. Would have liked them to give the Blaze a run for their money but they have alot of games to fit in, in a short space of time. Hopefully a win tonight 5-1

Not attending this, one odds are it'll be a bore fest, crowd likely to be very low and also not keen on attending this one as people who dont even care about the team are gonna be there on mass for free.
It angers me that on nights like tonight so many people will get free tickets yet us loyal fans get nothing for free for all the money and time we also commit to the club?!
Anyways, hoping we win this to try and cement the caps where they are so we dont have to play the steelers in the playoffs.

lol and Jonzee... As for the game i was adamant that i wasnt going mostly as a protest that i have to pay even though i am a season ticket holder and second that it is a pretty meaningless game now we stand sod all chance of winning the leage, however some one bought me a ticket and it is not gracious to turn this down!..

The people getting the free tickes are the army and they deserve free tickets more than us. Also if I remember correctly every ticket for the Game today has gone down £2 in price

First game ive not been to out of choice in a long time, money is short to pay for a potentially "nothing game". Will save it for beer money during the play-offs!

I thought it was a pretty decent game to be honest,it wasnt boring to say it was a pretty much a dead rubber and mid week....low crowd to be expected..less than 3,000 i would guess.

I thought it was fairly dull, but I wasn't expecting any different. Could've done with a fight.
Caps'll have to find their aim if they're going to do us a favour tomorrow, so many shot clean over.

Well i have to say last nights games was a downer, i felt like we was not doing as much as we should have been. Caps on the other side seemed like they was going for it. There was a few occassions where i thourght wooly was going to let it past him specially on one of the shots they had. And what was with Macca? he got sent of quiet a few times for silly peno's.
Oh an did anyone notice Matsos and Wilson stood near the plexi below block 1 area?

So Cory awarded the most consistant player award to KSP, !!

Last night's crowd reported in NEP at 3,919 - I wasn't there myself, in protest at the non-inclusion of the game on the ST, but this figure seems to be way over the figures various people at the game were reporting last night. Perhaps it relates to the total number of tickets (including the freebies) issued for the game, or perhaps it was counted by somebody seeing double?
