I would just like to post a massive
And
To Mr Neilson tonight, top, top bloke.
Picture the scene.........
End of game and Corey picks up the game puck and tries to pass it over the glass to a young lad about 5 or 6 years old. He chucks it over and from nowhere this total, utter {insert derogatory expleetive here} throws himself full lenght and plucks the puck from the air above this young lads head.
The little un looks stunned, Corey skates away pointing at this, thing, and shakes his head, he tells the other players and they too look over at this kid and shake their heads.
I go down to see the young lads mum and tell her I will have a signed puck waiting for him next game and to come see me then.
Your guys go off, but then Corey re-appears with another puck which is this time passed to the correct recipient.
Top work fella.
Just thought I would like to report this kind gesture, and if anyone speaks to him, please pass on my regards and thanks. He made this young uns day!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

o.O when i read the title i thought you was being sarcastic, as imo corey didnt have a fantastic game tonight, but reading this does go well with what was said about him when he was first signed about being a christian and top fella. So all good and hats off to the guy. Although i have found over time that most hockey players off ice are fantastic with fans in general, but always good to hear reports like this

Reminds me of an Autumn Cup win we had. The players got baseball caps given at the games end. I rushed up to the plexi, jumped up and asked for one. A player threw his to me and as it spun over to another group and some gal caught it.I jumped down and made sure I took it back,....cor it was like taking my toy away from me. I wanted it and no one else was going to gain from my polite request. Glad he was able to take the time out amnd fetch another.Good man.
