well what a weird opening start to the season. you would'nt have guessed this losing streak before europe. which brings me to this point, i know feelings are running high at the moment (it's only to be expected) but i'm sure the team only needs to re-discover a bit of confidence before normal service is resumed and i think it's time we did our little bit. keep the noise levels at home like it was v shuff (i know we still lost) and i'm sure the team will respond, i've seen it so many times before in all sports. keep moaning and groaning and making the nic like a grave yard and we don't diserve owt. theres enough of us to at least make us the best fans in the league so give block 11 a hand out eh!. i like our new coach and what he wants from his teams, give him time he'll know who he wants to keep or not by next season . you can't expect him to get it right from the word go . danny meyers, even and mike rees are not most peoples first choices but mike has them because of their never give up attitude which is why they are standing out now during this rough time. YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU NOW.

EXACTLY
And to repeat my own post from a couple of weeks ago....
All we can do is keep on giving them our support, on our travels to France the reports say the fans were "loud and proud". So what we need is the NIC to be LOUDER and PROUDER. The Pandas, and the rest of us in block 11, need you all to join in with the chanting and singing etc. Blocks 9, 10 and 12 have started to help and Block 7 certainly do their bit but it would be nice to hear something from blocks 4,5,6, 14 and the library section 15,16 and 17.
If all Panthers fans can show our appreciation vocally then the NIC can become a Fortress. So where ever you sit, DO IT!!
Lets hear the Panthers ROAR!!!!!!

lots of cheering is good more needed, we should all go home with soar throats each week from shouting and chanting (shouting good things to our players not so good to others ) and lets beat those boo boys among us not physically but very much vocally. Im behind them 100% they will regain that form and be on fire cause Clarke was on fire before and im sure he just needs some fuel for that fire to get himself and the team sorted.

I can go home fed up (another Sheffield come back) but come the next game it's a fresh start. Every point from now on in the league counts. It's about all the season.
First though , to knock someone out of the Cup.

Whenever we hit the inevitable October/November form dip, there is a post like this and every year someone says we should get behind them rather than criticising them and it never really does anything.
We can get behind them all we like, but until they buck their ideas up on the ice, it won't do a damn thing.

And you can slag them off and moan to your heart's content (as some do) - and that won't do a damn thing either... apart from depressing everyone around you.

why would it depress the players doughnut more than losing a game they have just played in... and if that doesnt make them feel bad then i dont want them playing for my club.

I'm not sure which bit you don't understand. Are you saying that how the fans feel shouldn't effect how the players feel? Or are you saying that when they lose a game they should be so depressed that no matter what happens to them they can't possibly be any more depressed? It doesn't take a sports psychology genius to know that the more depressed sportsmen are, the worse they will perform. It's also commonly accepted that the best way to get over losses is to learn from what you did wrong then forget about the loss and concentrate on the next game rather than the previous one.

Spot on Doughnut Sounds like Newham and texpef think the NIC should be a library, everyone must sit in silence until someone messes up so they can shout "Blaa-dy 'ell" or something worse to criticise the unfortunate player. Maybe they sit (or should sit) in Block 15 or even 215 in the HOS having to be told to chant by a deranged Brummie. I thought shouting FOR your team through thick and thin, lose or win is what supporting your team was all about.DO they only want to support a winning team? Have they got Belfast, Coventry, Sheffield, Newcastle......jerseys to wear when we don't win? Whatever the score; don't get on at the team GET BEHIND THEM !!

the one thing i would like to see win or lose for everone to stay and applaud both teams off the ice, that would be awesome and feel the players would appreciate it, many of us do it i know but unfortunatley many dont and arena looks empty as lads go round (most notibley after a loss)

Yay! Thank you for this thread! Was beginning to think there were few of us left who believe that getting on the backs of the players is counter-productive. They know when they've played badly, they don't need their so-called supporters booing them, or sitting quietly, they need some encouragement, and that's our part in the relationship. We've all had days when we have done badly at work and getting reamed out by the boss doesn't make you feel like trying harder, but a bit of encourgement the next day does. Guess its the difference between being supporters and being an audience (as in I'm here, so entertain me) Its not for nothing that the Great Britain Supporters Club is known as "The Fifth Line".........
