I gotta agree wit those that said already... a 8 goal game doesnt get the crowd involved.
I felt bored for the most part. The goals were well worked but no one seemed interested... or if they were they didnt really show it.
As for Jades penalty... he should have at least waited till the ref had his back turned and took the ankles or knees or something. His actions werent stupid (if the ref isnt calling something and you feel hard done by, retaliate), its the fact he did it in full view that was stupid.

its amazing how no one has mentioned Galbraiths moment of professionalism. im sorry, but that sort of penalty is never forgivable or acceptable. it just so happens that this time, it worked out for the team. personally, i would have benched him for that outburst. Absolutely. I agree, it was very unprofessional. That sort of thing deserves a real dressing down from the coach ... except that can't really happen can it. Not with any sincerity anyway. As the coach would look like a raging hypocrite. Which is exactly the point that you seem to insist on missing over and over again.

i keep missing it? maybe i get blinded by all the hypocrits on here. besides, i wasnt talking about neilson, i was talking about the galbraith. but if you want to bring neilson into the equation, then i think that he doesnt particularly take stupid penalties. that opinion is well documented on here, so with that in mind, does that still mean im missing the point? everyone takes penalties, galbraiths last night was a shocker, and to be honest, i havent seen corey take one like that while he has been coach.
besides, most people on here dont seem to have the capability to see that he is one of the best defencemen in the league. so does that mean they are missing the point?

With your snide digs about nobody mentioning Galbraith's penalty (within 15 hours of the game ending) you were referring to the fact people criticise Neilson for taking dumb penalties, you know it, I know it, we all know it.
Most people on here seem to acknowledge that he may be one of the best defencemen in the league. The point that many seem to be making and you seem to be missing is that we're suffering from the lack of a full time coach.
Most people on here are also able to disagree on things without being a complete idiot about it and making snide comments at every opportunity.

Petulant penalty to take at a key point in the game but Galbraith was the man on Saturday: a truly stellar performance.
I thought Panthers played an excellent game on Saturday and showed a good range of the stuff needed to win games: great goal scoring, soaking up loads of pressure - even a bit of decent netminding (albeit spoilt - as ever - by a couple of trademark gaffes).

The problem is Buster, that you make comments which are designed to get a reaction, then you start crying about the reaction when it arrives. On a different note, Galbraith offered out Calder or Carlson (can't remember which) towards the end of the game and was turned down. Would have been an entertaining little scrap.

Would have been an entertaining little scrap. i disagree, though not about the fights, but i have a reputation on here and people have a one track mind. they see what they want to see. look at me for example, since oldman has returned, i havent made any digs at him what so ever (not that i did in the past, until he tried to bring the game to me). i dont have a one track mind in that sense and he's made some good points. its a shame that other people cant see that with me. perhaps its high time that i closed this account and started a new one, just like oldman/leeksanddaffs so people will read my words objectively and without a bias view, as they seem incapable to do so at the minute (just look at the desert island discs thread).

Actually it was nice to see some passion from a panthers guy even misplaced, because sure as heck, we saw no passion against the Giants.
