Message from many seem to indicate obscene one finger gestures from the dancers. Really unprofessional - not in keeping with the ice hockey tradition as a family game. Keep it clean, we do not need to stoop so low.

TBH I found it quite amusing. They went from total euphoric pom-pom waving to dejected two fingered salutes. To be fair to your security (not often they get praised) one of them saw it as well and got straight on the radio.
I hope nothing major comes of this, they looked like they were really enjoying what they were doing and have some natty routines going. I think they just need a little re-education on professionalism. They appear to be quite young and so I just put it down to over excitement, they just need to realise the that as representatives of a club a certain standard of behaviour is required.

Unfortunately people much further up in the Panthers organization have little idea of customer relations and treat the paying fan with the same amount of respect.

Perhaps the girls themselves could claw back some self respect and offer a public apology on here

Funny, as I was 2 feet from the security guy who clearly said. '....Better get someone down and stop the dancers sticking the rods up at the away end....'
No biggy IMO, not to bothered about an apology either as I was not particularly offended. Hopefully this will have given them a little 'scare' and they can behave with a little more decorum next time.

I sat in block 16 with my wife & son, and we certainly saw the gestures. On another note, it was the very first time I have taken my young son to a game and he really enjoyed it. Thanks to Paws the mascot, you really made his day.

has anyone who was offended complained to the Panthers so they can investigate and take action if needed? then the matter will be sorted and wont happen again hopefully.

I believe protestations have been made in writing by at least 3 people Petrico, and as I said a security guard also saw the incident so there is no doubt here (for once); action will I'm sure ensue, but nothing to drastic I hope.
Ahh! the excitement of youth eh?

I actually feel sorry for the cheerleaders, and can understand their reaction. There they are, doing their job but then they get baited by the away fans when the Steelers get back into the game. They are an easy target as they cannot move away from the baiting.
They are only young kids.
I can't understand people who think it's good fun to mock and heckle young girls who are merely providing entertainment for a match......
So I can sympathise if they reacted to the treatment they got.

There was no baiting from Steeler fans, happens everytime we come down nowadays. Cheerleaders have been reported several times now and security are fully aware that they do it without any encouragement. One in particular seems to be the ringleader.

I think this thread has gone far enough. If this was witnessed by security staff and complaints have also been made in writing, I'm sure appropriate action will be taken.
