Matt Towe for me. Played EIHL before and isnt a bad player. If take Nell at a push but i would be surprised if Prince came over here - i think hes destined for bogger things!

Bari Mckenzie from Edinburgh for me. 53 points for the season, 8th highest points scoring Brit in the league, only 3 less than Lacho having played 9 games less. Surely he could be tempted away from the Caps.

dowd resigned to belfast yet? No,i suspect he will be waiting to see if a big offer from elsewhere comes in, also not many of the players on GB duty will be signing contracts untill they have finished in the world championships.

Surely he could be tempted away from the Caps. Had not spotted him. Good call. His stats are quite strange. He more than tripled his points from the previous season! I don't know the Caps lines but I wonder if he was on a line with Hartman and Jarolin? Impressive stats none the less. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=69960

AS much as i would love panthers to poach another qulaity brit off another team we all know this is wishful thinking and a bit of a pipe dream. As much as our competitors dont have a problem with this when was the last time panthers used their buyng power and nicked a good brit from another team in our league?...

Hull.
Didn't we have Mark Richardson off Basingstoke too?

might have even been younger than 19 so no more than a kid cant exactly say a "quality brit" was signed at that point even though he is developing now quite nicely under CN's tutelege.
As for Mark Richardson, Basingstoke wasnt in our league and CN again turned an average forward into quite a useful defenceman before he went to cardiff...
Still failing to see where panthers steal our competitions best players like Ash going to sheff or dowd to belfast...

Richardson was actually acquired from Cardiff, and left us to Basingstoke (looked it up).

Yeah I they were: eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=21352He would've been a young guy then, so not a "top" Brit, but I guess the point is we do have form for taking promising looking players from other clubs, they've not all come through the Nottingham set up.

Aaron Nell Fantastic season since getting ice time with Swindon Although he joined part way through the season he is up with the leagues top scorers including the imports He ha certainly put up some extremely impressive numbers, is a good size and a good age. His numbers in Coventry were not looking too shabby until he left. A fall out with Fulghum supposedly. I think we could do a lot worse. Looks like an EIHL player to me... A bit more on Nell here.. www.wiltsglosstandard.co.uk/sport/9570017.ICE_HOCKEY__Wildcats_so_close_to_double_victory_over_Phoenix

I thought we picked up Steve Lee from Guildford Flames?
I'd love to see us get a Dowd/Peacock/Prince but probably unrealistic; more realistic would be Bobby Chamberlain (definitely one for the future) especially if Hull are EPL bound and he fancies hanging around in the EIHL. Either him or Phil Hill/Farmer for me if it's a forward we're after.
