Sheffield will never have a better time than this to be facing us. How anybody from the Panthers can be looking forward to this, god only knows. I ll just be making sure those bar men/women are earning there money on sat, that way the game might look better Panthers 1 Steelers 4 at least Kiss of death you know what your predictions were like in the CC Pidge... but i still think you guys will nick this one...3-2 just before OT is needed Panthers win Macadam to score winner ;D this one, i won t get wrong mark my words.

What worries me most of all, is that once again, the work rate wont be there and Sheffield will want it more than us and beat us for every puck.
I thought we d finally built a side capable of challenging, i must have been wrong

Steelers to win by at least 4. It hurts losing, but losing to them will be beyond words.
Any player not up for this one should not be in England and that goes for both sides. Some games you can accept a loss but these games a loss is not even worth thinking of!

2 weeks ago I couldnt wait for this game, thinkinh we would wipe the floor with them, but after the last 3 games, and if we play as BADLY as we did against Hull, it hurts to say the Steelers will beat us by 5 or 6 and cant see us scoring.
IF we play like we can, and like we were pre CC, I think we will win EASILY!
What we need is Shmyr to destroy Clouthier at the 1st puck drop and Simoes to nail Tessier and Sutter (which he's looking forward to by the way) to get the rest of the guys motivated.
Otherwise it'll be a LONG night and I may be in the bar for the 3rd period!

I reckon that its all been a plot to lull the Steelers into a false sense of security. Ellis has read on here that some fans think the most important aspect of the season is beating Steelers irrespective of where we finish in the league, and has had the team playing in a shambolic fashion and mixed the lines as much as possible to confuse not only Matsos but our own players as well.
On Saturday we will revert to our original game plan, the lines will be restored as they should be, the high and low cycling moves that we learned from the Austrians will be in evidence, the powerplay a well oiled machine with Neilson commanding, Simoes checking Tessier over the Steelers bench in the fourth minute and making him not want to come back onto the ice, Shmyr then cleaning the plexiglass with Clothears face as the knuckledragger tries to jump to the primadonnas aid, and Clarkie firing home a hattrick.
That makes me feel a lot better now doctor. How long do I have to keep taking these pills for?

Polite request regarding the use of the number 4 instead of typing the word 4 it states in the forum rules that text talk should not be used.
Back on topic I'll go foe a 4 - 2 Panthers victory.

Clouthier a doubt, time to get my money back me thinks lol
Id like nothing more than Clouthier and Shmyr after 2secs but with his injury I can see Clout wanting it because he wont be able to take many shifts so he can take Shmyr out for 5mins and calm him down so im not sure whether id want to see it or not!
Simoes has got a chance to cement his legendary status this weekend for sure. 4point weekender and were back on, 0points and I dont care if I sound doom and gloom but thatd be it for me for another season (Level of performance and attitude depending)

I'm thinking we should have a pretty clear idea of how the season is going to turn out after the Challenge Cup games next weekend. The next eight days are going to tell us a great deal about the qualities of our players and coaches. Must say at the moment I'm not exactly relishing the prospect

Looks like Shane Johnson in for Ricci, but Hewitt still out, not quite at full strength at the Panthers site says.
I think being the first game between us after 6/7 weeks of the season will help create more of buzz. I have to say I'm looking forward to it.

I'd ignore the rubbish about Clouthier. He's trained all week and will be playing fully fit. Chris

My gosh some of you lot!ever heard of positive thought, with you behind the panthers no wonder they lose!
Have you seen the steelers lately,i have, twice since i've been up here and no offence but they're not exactly steaming ahead!
And you're always quick to blame the coach,i see you do it every year and guess what its getting old. There are other people behind that bench.
Im going to go out on a limb and say that it'll be close,i don't think the panthers are as bad as everyone is making out so come on you panthers, some of us believe in you!

Darby doesnt even compare when it comes to playing ability You have got to be kiding me!! I spoke to Paul Ferone last year whilst Darby was at Cardiff. He told me this guy has the heaviest, hardest punch in the league. (as of last year) He also said the reason Darby doesn't go much is nobody want to stand toe to toe with him and take the hammer blows! (His words) Now I know he by no means wins every fight however that is not the be all and end all is it? If Mr Ferone rates him, that'll do me!

Well it will be good to see if Darby shy's away from Shmyr like everyone else has apart from Skeikar.
I personally think it will be Shmyr V Clothears and then Darby Vs McAslan or Dave Clarke

The negativity on here is unbelivable...all these folk predicting as bad as 0-6! Come on, a bad run and everyone gives in, this is driving me up the wall! Pull yourselves together! I'm not sure what the result will be, not sure whether we'll win or lose but I'm pretty sure this one's going to be tight.
