wasnt that supposed to happen some years ago when Forest/County were to share a stadium at the old wilford power station site, and there was supposed to be an ice arena beside it?

1992 , a site on the old power station site was ear marked as ground share for forest and county , it was to hold over 80,000 as part of the complex there would be a 15,000 arena which would have been home to the panthers, had that happened would the steelers had the sucess they did in the 90`s?

Amazing that even in a topic about Forest and Panthers ground sharing - that Sheffield steelers can still get themselves a mention !
Being new and a Forest fan it is clear that Panthers fans dislike Sheffield just as much as Forest fans dislike Derby !
(If not more)

As a non-Forest fan but Panthers follower I agree.
Just say no to "youuuuu reeeeddddssss", or words to that effect.
Anyway, Panthers are wearing pink this season, not red. Well its a very pinkish shade of red at least.

I can see it now at the next home game as the Panthers skate out to Mull of Kintyre.... If we can have a couple of flags for the players to grab after scoring a goal and skate past the away supporters, we will be well on the way.

Paws already did the flag thing at the first league game against Belfast. Seriously though, I hope Panthers never feel the need to establish some crass tie-in with that clown show who play at the City Ground, it'd cheapen the Panthers in my eyes.

WE have a different identity I hope. No need to 'twin' ourselves. Now we have established that there is no amalgamation of/for grounds/complex.Can we just say 'no' to the red shirts.

How a tie-in with the most famous and well-supported professional sporting club in the city would somehow cheapen the Panthers.

Panthers dont do nearly enough marketing at the CG, Meadow Lane, Trent Bridge, Prideless Park, Field Mill... need i go on.
Perhaps it's because people think football fans are not good enough to watch hockey. Maybe ok for Panthers at the mo but what would Steelers give for just a few Wednesday and Utd fans through their turnstiles of a Sat evening.
There are circa 20,000 people who, by very definition of where they are, are sports fans , in one place, about a mile from the NIC every other Sat - market to them for christ's sake! I have introduced people who are lifelong ST holders at the CG to Panthers - they never even considered or really knew much about it before I did. Granted they are in the post ever week but getting the panthers equivalent of the hooters girls handing out fixture lists, maybe with £2 off coupons or the like would do no end of good, tickets could be good for the 'lesser' games against Caps or Stingrays. May as well get people in and using those empty seats and I can guarantee at least some will return.

Because a lot of the panthers fans have no allegiance to Forest, I believe Alf would object amongst others, personally if we were to do this, I would tie up with County they are a richer club!

County are a circus. I genuinely fear for them.
