(Mods - stick this in Amnesia Lane in few days if you like. I put it here first for maximum coverage) Just been looking through some old photos and found this rarity. I think it's one taken by Pete Gingell, who was Panthers' official photographer at the time. I won't give the season now, but see if anyone gets it first. Name that player.

Isn't that Danny Bissonnette?
Think I only saw him play for Panthers once!

I go with Bissonette too. Shame we can't see the blade of his stick - that would clear it up as he shot left, whereas Chiarelli shot right.
A player I thought was rather unlucky - got injuries just when he needed to settle into the added ice time and responsibility of an import. Most thought he was dreadful until we saw Chiarelli - signed after playing for the hockey team whilst studying at Harvard I believe. At least he has used his qualifications to make a good career out of hockey in an off-ice role, he was nowhere near earning a good living from playing it!

I'll go with Bissonnette as I'm sure he wore #19, and I think Chiarelli wore #16. What's the prize, an anorak ? Danny was def.the better player but you needed your imports to post major points back then, something neither he nor Chiarelli managed to do. When Danny got cut he stayed around for another week cos he was at a Juniors game presenting MOM awards

No points for telling everyone where Chiarelli is now, but does anyone know where Bissonette ended up?

Danny Bisonette actually broke his jaw in mid game. When confirmed his immortal words were"hell gee Doc I'll be ok"he then ran up the steps outside the first aid room and proceeded to carry on playing and finished the game. He then went to hospital had it pinned and was released- gassed.

Identify the Panthers in this photo, taken by my mate from the back of block 9 in the old place, hence not being of professional quality. Extra points if you are able to identify who we are playing, the two players from that side in the photo, and the year. One interesting thing I noticed about this photo is the rectangular goal crease and how unusual it looks now. Also, a Panther in a number 3 shirt, which also looks strange. Warning - I've got lots more photos.

I only ever remember Robin Andrew with ridiculously scruffy shorts so with that in mind is #3 Jeff Andison? Both Kewards, Tim Peacock (without his red helmet!) and - a punt - Terry Gudziunas? Opposition Cleveland? Their #11 Jim Earle?

This is an old one! Be surprised if its any later than 83.
Chris Keward in goal (any shots of his ill-fated conversion to d-man Stef?) Think it might be Dwain in the corner, don't know the others. Wouldn't like to guess the oppo.
Keep 'em coming!

Opposition Cleveland? Their #11 Jim Earle? Didn't Cleveland usually have a Calgary kit? How about it being Durham with the 11 being Paul Smith and the other guy, Ivor (?) Bennett

Bennett I don't think its Durham. They tended to wear blue and yellow. Could be somewhere daft like Oxford University or maybe Richmond or Blackpool (now that was a day out!). I'm retracting my guess at Robin Andrew. I think the picture is earlier than the period that he played for us so I'm going to guess Terry Gudziunas as well. Is the Panthers player to the right of the opposition's number 11 Gary Clarson. It looks like he's wearing 15 and I think Gary wore 15. Come on Stef! Put us out of our misery... then make it worse by posting more pics. ;D

Think this was from one of my 1st insights into the sport I reckon 3 Jeff Andison, 12 Tim Peacock, 11 Dwayne Keward in net either Chris Keward or Frankie Killan around 81/82 ish Oppostion Paul Smith and Ivor (the diver) Bennet of Durham
