As i have said many times today, even though i did not know Mr Page on a personal level, i know that this man is known, loved and respected by many across the world. My greatest sympathy to all in his family, Mr Page will not be forgotten. The arena will not be the same without him.
I hope hes there on saturday to see the Nottingham Panthers win. Some thing needs to be set in stone for his rememberance at the arena.

Ah..... what can I say - what can words do at a time like this?
We'll miss your photographs Dave, though they can be replaced in time.
But there's nothing that can fill the void your loss leaves in the lives of those who knew and loved you.
RIP Dave.

Can't believe the news, have only just read about it this morning on arrival at work, am numb and cannot do any work, a huge loss to British Ice Hockey and my heartfelt sympathy to his family at this terribly upsetting time. Don't think i'll be able to hold back the tears on Saturday.
RIP Dave.

Really sad news and all my thoughts and sympathies are with his family. Apart from memories people have of him as a person, his other legacy is years and years of fabulous pictures of a sport that he and hockey fans truly love. A look through his pictures, which highlight his dedication and skill, bring back so many great nights and his memory is linked to each and every one and that is truly priceless. Thanks Dave. RIP.

Just to add that a minutes silence will be held at all EPL games this weekend as well as EIHL. Shows just how much respect the guy had

Just got back this morning from a weekend away in Holland, thanks to Andy who let me know yesterday. Very sad news, I have several of Dave's photo's dotted around the house, he was a master of his art. His help and professionalism during all the Rink Rush events was first class (especially getting Peterborough players out of bed at 8.30 on a Sunday morning!)
A top bloke who will be sadly missed, deepest sympathies to his family. RIP Dave.

I started supporting the Panthers at the end of the 2006/7 season, and met Dave for the first time to talk to at the beginning of the next season. He came across immediately as a man that everyone who meets him would instantly like him, he seemed not to have a bad bone in his body, what was there to dislike.
The wife joined me as a season ticket holder this season, and the first person I introduced her too was Dave. Every game we attended as soon as he saw me or the wife, he would try to come across to talk and ask how we were, and how we were coping with my disability. Indeed the last home game he attended he chatted with us for five or ten minutes, about the game, how I was, he asked Julie how she was, and generally we chewed the fat. It was just one of those ordinary little things that you take for granted, we of course at the time did not realize that would be our last conversation with Dave. So the "See you later" that we cheerfully bid him became our final farewell.
We are missing those little chats already, we are missing his generosity, we are missing his presence at the games. Both Julie and myself have realized though, through reading through the posts on this thread, we are not the only one's. We all miss him, his family, his friends, the fans, the players, the management, backroom staff, rival fans and his loyal customers.
The tribute to him on Saturday, in whatever form it takes, is going to leave me, and my wife with dry mouths, wet eyes and lumps in our throats. A few thousand more in that arena on Saturday night, will be feeling the same.
Rest in Peace Dave.
Phil and Julie Harrison x (That kiss Dave is for all the wonderful pictures you took of Paws, that I had off you. Also for the Tessier picture you gave me for my birthday last November, I don't think I could add any more to what Phil has already written. Julie)

Gutted I only just heard about the news.
Such a loss.
Just read all 10 pages and am in tears at my desk.
So many kind words from so many people - just goes to show what a true legend he was.
Rest in peace Dave

Like Jono, just got back from Holland and heard about Dave's sad death indirectly yesterday.
Want to join everyone else in offering condolences and thoughts to Dave's family and close friends, his personality and professional contribution will certainly be missed around our club.
My two biggest memories of Dave are of him turning up at Peterborough at 9 on a Sunday morning with several of their players on the first day of the Rink Rush, and of him being one of the photographers at my wife's PGCE graduation in Birmingham last year - he'd only ever seen me in a hockey shirt, not suit and tie, and I'd only seen him at a rink, not Birmingham's Symphony Hall - we looked at each other, both grinning, somewhat bemused, and simultaneously asked "What the hell are YOU doing HERE?". Then, as always, he had time for a chat and a laugh. A gentleman.

I had the honour of classing 'Pagey' as a friend. We used to hang around backstage before the games, during the breaks, & even sneak off to the Bunkers for a sneaky drink on occasions, during my time as Paws. This news has shaken me to the core, & I sit here with tears streaming down my face as I type this. The bloke was a rare kind, he was genuinely a really nice guy & it didn't matter who you were - Dave ALWAYS had time for you, he was a gentleman, & I will miss him deeply. I can't even begin to imagine what his poor family are feeling - but my heartfelt thoughts & prayers are with them. God Bless Dave.

I posted this on the facebook page. a good friend told me this when my Gran died. I couldnt post much more yesterday
If there was a before life and someone said to you I will give you a life, you will have many happy memories full of great experiences. You will have lots of friends and a loving family to share these times with, only asking one thing, that you pay one price, it has to end. Would you take it? I did, you did, Dave did. Im not trying to detract from the tragic circumstances and far from saying he wasnt taken long before his time.
As I said before, I cant think of anyone in the hockey world that not one person has a bad thing to say about. A rarity. Mate wherever you are now, whatever pics you are taking youll always be remembered by all of us. Youll be missed greatly.

Truly shocking news. Dave did a fantastic job on my wedding pictures nearly four years ago, and became a great friend. I have many memories of our NHL tour to NYC in 2007, a great trip with a lovely bunch of people. When it's our wedding anniversary on the 22nd March we will drink a toast to you Dave, and wish you well wherever you may be.
Take care DP, we will miss you and our chats of Fulham and Man City!

I have enjoyed reading the cage for many years, but it has taken this sad event to prompt me to register.
This is a truly tragic time and, as a Steelers follower, shows how close the hockey community really is.
My heartfelt condolences.

Just wanted to add my thoughts - I was so shocked on Monday to see this thread on the cage. As others have said I didn't know dave personally but I was very saddened at the news and my heart goes out to sue and danny. I can't be there on saturday but I will be thinking of him.
God Bless, Dave.

You only had to meet Dave once and you could class him as a friend. He would remember you even just to say hello or chat if he had time or he would make time. No amount of words can bring Dave back to us, lets all show how much he was liked in Nottingham and in the hockey world on Saturday. RIP Big man
