Just got my tickets for the 28th and suddenly realised we play Shuff 3 times in 7 days, here's hoping we come back from the Continental Cup injury free. Talk about a week being a long time in sport............

You only just realised this? He's not the only one.... Sheffield simply haven't been on the radar for me - the first game nearly 2 months after the season starts? - not really made much of an impact on the old perception, to be honest.

Well it wouldn't have been, but I had to see the days where I would be potentially falling out with certain members of this forum. And also the days where I wouldn't be allowed in the pub after matches.

We changed our holiday dates when the Challenge Cup fixtures were announced. Fortunately nothing had been booked.
Whilst the fire may have died down a lot, I think the flames will be fanned an awful lot in the coming weeks.

As to whether I had realised or not - well clearly not :-) To be honest I have been that wrapped up in our start to the season not been looking ahead too many games in advance, and maybe thats not a bad thing, worry about the things at hand rather than those you may have a problem with later is my motto. Given the standard of recent years, pretty poor, compared with some of the titanic struggles of the past I hope this is the mini series we all dream of, and to some extent deserve. If there was one thing that was going to reignite the old flames it was a hotly contested mini series like this. Lets just hope for good refereeing to make it a level playing field, oh and a Panthers series win off course.

TBH I didn't know & I can't say I'm that bothered. They're just another team to play in the same way that Basingstoke, Edinburgh, Hull, Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff, Coventry or Newcastle are.
I really don't understand the fixation with Nottingham v Sheffield matches. We don't get any extra points for winning & neither do they. The only reason these days that these gameas re hyped up the way they are is to put bums on seats - no bad thing I suppose but can some of the comments made from both sides really be justified.
At the end of the day it's only a game & the morning after we'll all wake up & find that the Earth is still turning win, lose or draw.

I agree with many of you on here about the Panthers Vs Steelers rivlary.. It's been rubbish for a long while and even last year, with blaiser & co here in Nottm... But since watching the start of our season and the way they have been playing, i think it's going to be a tasty encounter Simoes creaming the lot off them into the plexi, Shmyr Vs Clouthier, Mcaslan showing that we have someone equally capable of not more so than Dan "if i get a better offer i'm off" Tessier etc.. I don't know about you, but i cant wait for the Steelers matches.. i've not been as excited about watching any Panthers team since back in the old stadium!! Bring it on....

Sorry to be pedantic, but should you see someone gagging for air, don't go trying to give them CPR! If they're gagging their heart is still beating

Lets not forget we also have a game in the middle at home with Hull - this could very well be the season defining week, so its 4 games in 8 days.........

I think the booing of Tessier and Sutter will far outweigh any cheers for them.

Did anyone happen to see Mr Simms with Mr Elite League Fixtures planner, yielding a bulging brown paper bag, in a motorway service station, muttering something along the lines of.........."give us as many games as possible against them straight after they get back from France" !!!

Lets not forget we also have a game in the middle at home with Hull - this could very well be the season defining week, so its 4 games in 8 days......... Not sure about it shaping the rest of our season.... at the end of the day out of the 5 games in 10 days, only 3 of them count towards the league! And the way the season has started, im so excited about the league this year, that i really couldnt give a toss what happens in the Challenge Cup. They could beat us both legs and i wouldnt care, at the end of the day, the league is looking so good for us at the moment, the sheffield fans could gloat all they want about the challenge cup, i would be much more excited at the prospect of shutting up the fat brummy idiot from up the road, and halting all the 50 year jokes!!!!
