I see a few are now realising Evan has a style which is effective , but which some panthers fans haven t been used too.
And hes making quite a lot of fans eat their words, i knew he d turn in good performances when we needed him and at 1-1 on sat, made some fine stops, oh and all those CC lovers seem to have gone into hiding after his start to the season ;D

According to Powerplay CC still has the 2nd higest % in the league behind the Wolfe man.

According to Powerplay CC still has the 2nd higest % in the league behind the Wolfe man. That will probably be down to the high amount of shots hes faced rather than anything else, Evan Save % is lower cause he has faced a lot fewer shots id say

Shag, agree with all of that except the bit about Manchesters D, they gave up 50 shots pal. Yes, they did (well, 48) - and how many went in? Only two... Apologies if I did not make myself clear... when I said that "Manchester put up one hell of a defence", I was referring to the team as a whole - including the netminder - not just the blueliners. The shot count may have been high, but the scoreline wasn't... a lot of our shots were made fairly easy for Wolfe because they were straight at him - partly due, I think, to a combination of our guys adopting a 'shoot on sight' policy (not necessarily a bad thing) and partly due to the Manchester D restricting the shooting lanes and Wolfe himself being ruddy difficult to get past! Let's face it - this season's Panthers team is geared around all-out, high-speed howling offence... not to put too fine a point on it, but if the Phoenix hadn't defended well all game we could well have had another whopping scoreline like the Bison game.

Not necessarily, if the D keep the shots out to the zone perimiter ie shots thrown in from point then theyve done their job even if they give up 70shots! not that im saying that was the case, just being pedantic!

Oh, and how could I forget? "Da da da-da... EVAN LINDSAY!" ;D I thought I'd heard that! Fantastic It brought a smile to my face, hopefully more people will pick up on it next time... Specially if it's played over the speakers Maybe "Hey Rock and Roll" for David Clarke? Or Steve Simoes?

I thought Lindsay deserved the Da da da on saturday.
I really am eating all the bad things i said about him on here! As far as I can see as the season progresses he can only get better.
The dundee fan was right as well.... really nice quiet guy.

fantastic game, i always have rated Lindsay from London days but hes even better than i was expecting so far.
Shmyr, two assists from our enforcer aint bad, especially when only two goals were scored all game, real asset imo, very tough fella but also wants to contribute pointswise, cant ask for more from him, apart from to beat Payette black and blue.
Simoes, hes going on my shirt no doubt, great checker and a great player, tries extremely hard and has some classy skill and a solid shot. also respected him for turning down Gomez's offer of a dance, could easily have gone with him but new the team needed him out there, top man.
Clarke, i think its great to have a Brit as one of our top players, when not injured he makes me wonder if he can become just as good a player as Hand.
Brilliant team performance and must say Rees impressed me also which im pleased about as he was the only player that i was unsure about, cant wait for the next home game!!

Didn't notice Rees at all during the match. A very good sign in my opinion, must of had a solid game with no mistakes. Yet another piece of the team jigsaw that seems to fit just right.

Game Highlights HereMust admit I think we were slightly fortunate with the powerplay that the GWG came from. I thought it was charging at the time (don't know where Hicks got Tripping from!) but looking at that it looks like quite a good hit. Not sure where Phoenix got goaltender interference from, it looks as if Wolfe has his hands all over Shymr's stick and loses his balance because Shymr is skating away leaving him without anytime to get back to the net and letting Simoes' shot through.
