I watched a brilliant film the other night called 'The Boys from Brazil' from 1978.
A group of Nazis in hiding in Paraguay set out to kill 94 65 year old men over a 2 year peiod but its not explained why..and an elderly Nazi hunter has is trying to find out why..he discovers that all these 65 year old men were given adoptive children...who as it turns out were all clones of Hitler...so the Nazis (lead by the doctor who created the clones) kills the fathers at the age Hitlers dad was when he died (and the boys are 14) so they have no interference in growing up and will eventually try a Nazi mark 2 attmept at running the world...sounds a bit mad but brilliant nontheless.

Finally got to see the Rolling Stones - 'Shine A Light' movie today. A brilliant performance for the Stones. This film shows how much they have still got 'it'. Awesome performances form they whole band...especially Mick & Keith. Their passion & energy for their craft knows no limits & it's a joy to watch them perform. What loses this film points - is the annoying guest appearances by Jack White, & Christina Agueilera (Or however ya spell her name!). The only guest appearance of note,is that from Blues legend, Buddy Guy. The duel/duet between him & Keith Richards, is woirth the ticket price alone. The film is quite nicely broken up every 3 or so songs, with past clips, & interviews with the band from over the years. It's a strange combination The Stones, & Scorsese...but it works beautifully. (less...) ooooh, im glad someone posted about this, i really want to see it. is it as good as scorsese's 'no direction home' documentary about bob dylan? i thoroughly enjoyed that. No idea. Not seen it, & to be honest I am not likely to...not really a Dylan fan.

I've read the book its based on and its meant to be so different to the book so i'm going to satisfy my curiosity as to which is better the book or the film.

Top 5 films people? 5 - Finding Nemo 4 - Cocktail 3 - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 2 - High Fidelity 1 - Top Gun hahahahaha, the top 5 films a reference to high fidelity? anyway, i could never make an accurate top 5, but i'll always have a few that arent strictly favourites on the merit of the way its shot, or its production value's or iconic status or whatever, they'd be there because they remind me of a time, or because they have some sentimental significance.

I saw 'In Bruges' today, what a quality film. A real quality 'Shoot 'Em Up' type of film that is a real joy. Highly entertaining, engaging, & original. There are some real funny, laugh out loud moments in this. Colin Farrell, is brilliant in this..in fact there are no weak performances. Top stuff.

A decent-ish film to watch on a dreary Saturday afternoon. Went to see this with the good lady wife (Her Choice) & I have to say it wasn't nearly as naff as i thought it was going to be. It has a decent cast, who all play their roles well. It's not a film you'll want to watch again/own the DVD...but it's not too bad.

I saw this this afternoon - This film reminded me a bit of Terminator 2, with it's technology & anti war message. It's also very tongue in cheek in it's humour - I laughed out loud @ Tony Stark, having a pole dance club on his private jet. it's both serious & fun at the same time, & a damn fine way to spend a couple of hours. A suprisingly bloody good cast as well.

I went to see 'Charlie Bartlett' this afternoon. This was dull. it doesn't really go anywhere, it doesn't really say anything. The only thing that sprung to mind whilst watching was - I am bored. it's like an extende(bad) version of something like Grange Hill. Robert Downey Jnr, is the only thing worth watching in this, & I am just suprised he appears in something so dull.
