It probably happened 52 years ago in a remote country somewhere... could even have been Ross Lambert ;D Im quite lucky anyway as i have quite a small forehead so even some of the illegal visors come to below my nose. Not that it matters my nose isnt straight anyway..............and no i didnt break it by not using a cage or to try and make myself look hard.

My visor is a Hejduk one. Cant remember the model but it is flat along the bottom. Covers down to my nose and is very close to my face. I looked into Oakley but were waaaay too expensive.
as for the pro/rec argument.... surely more pros would be wearing cages if the sight lines were just as good as a visor? after all they play more regularly and at a faster pace!

Bear in mind, until they played for my team Heja and Teddyc both wore cages and now I think its safe to say they are happy with a visor!
Back on topic, let me know how you get on Bennett and if I can be any help (I have a couple of guys through ebay I use to get kit from when I need to)

The punch was to the mouth. It would have hurt the guys mouth but instead it jolted him and rocked him. Some guy thought he was superman because he wore a cage and got hurt.
Its hard to explain but iv seen it before and felt it often enough. When you wear a cage there are points on it which will hurt you more when punched with a glove. They protect you from stray sticks etc but have their downsides

ha ha, that guy was a tool.
Im glad TIm smacked him... and yes Kilner while not a full on KO the was so dazed he didnt have a clue who had hit him.
I have taken even sticks to the cage, never a minda puck.... and even though it doesnt cut my face it rocks you hard, I can easily imagine it hurting a lot more if i took a full puck of check to the boards with the cage.

Just to end the thread on a good note, i went for the Oakley pro straight and can honestly say its awesome. The clarity is unbelievable and its a perfect size. Any full cage/visor people out there i urge you to give one a try, its already made a difference to my game and i have only used it once!. ;D Ordered from www.icewarehouse.com and it came in 5 days - would recomend them. No import tax either, thats one thing i can thank the slack government for.
