Are they 15 points better than Inter though? In a word, Dan NO. However I still feel they would be 15 points better than most of Serie A.

Inter to win the title from Roma. Milan will finish in the top 4 even IF they start the season with -15.

Disappointed about Lazio's fate, but all 4 clubs will appeal. The punishment for Juve is very heavy! Not as heavy as they deserved. They have cheated for years and what do they get? Effectively a 3 year punishment. Pathetic. Best league in the world.....

Unless the likes of Kaka want European football this year and move on. They've already lost Shevchenko, that's going to be a HUGE loss for them. The types of player that Milan will want to replace him will be wanted by other sides, sides that can boast a better-than-average chance of winning their league AND European football.

Meeelan have said they're selling nobody. I doubt players will leave just because they're not playing in the ECL for a year. Crespo to replay Shev.

Crespo won't fit in Shev's shoes. I'd have gone for someone younger with the money. The 30m they got for Shev could have gone on Torres or Ibrahimovic.

Zlatan didn't get to where he is by being crap. Sure, he's in some poor form (and was dreadful during the world cup) but domestically he is awesome. Torres however has been brilliant in all forms of the game for a while now. I hope he comes to these shores.

Torres is a far better player and will be great in front of Rooney.

Certainly Torres is the superior player, and by some distance. Considering they'll only probably be spending about £10m more on Torres than they'll get for RVN, i'd say that's an excellent deal

Considering they'll only probably be spending about £10m more on Torres than they'll get for RVN, i'd say that's an excellent deal Dunno about that. RVN is a proven goalscorer. Torres is a little hot and cold and there's no guarantee he'll settle in Manchester or English football. Look at Morientes. Having said that I hope Man U sign Defoe or Trezeguet instead.

More importantly sunny, Torres is 20-22, RVN is approaching 30.

More importantly sunny, Torres is 20-22, RVN is approaching 30. 22 and 30. But Fergie needs to win the league next season. He can't build for the future like Wenger or Rafa as he'll be gone if he doesn't win. That's the risk with Torres.

Now I might have got the wrong end of the stick here, but this match fixing trial was an 'independant' Italian government investigation,am I right? One of the leading figureheads in Italian politics is/was none other than Silvio Berlusconi. The same Signor Berlusconi who just happened to be a former president of AC Milan. Is it merely co-incidence that AC are the only one of the 4 to retain their Serie A status? Someone feel free to corect me if I'm wrong here as I openly admit that I do not know the facts. 15 points should be do-able for AC with the other major threats out of the equation, if not for champions league 2007-08 but a UEFA place. Also with Juve being stripped of their last 2 scudetto I assume they have been awarded to Internazionle as the were runners up in both said seasons? It's no SB's political influuence that has got them off; it is his media influence. He made it clear that his media companies would not re-new the big money deal if Milan went down. So they haven't! These judgements are awful. No way should Lazio and Fiorentina get almost as much penalty as Juve. I expect them to appeal and end up with a point deduction but back in Serie A. Juve will appeal but they know they should be happy with the outcome. Should've been worse. Inter will fight for the two Scudettos but I suspect they won't get them. They should win it next season with only Roma to stop them. Well Inter got one of the titles and Milan have ended up in Europe but generally it went as I predicted. Can't really argue with the outcome.

Heavy points deduction I'd guess. Ibrahimovic is not very good. Crespo has a proven track record at Milan and has just turned 31. Crespo has a proven record in top flight Italian football. Period He's back in Milan. This time the blue side. Martins may be offski.
