Great news, it's about time top level hockey in this country had a sponsorship deal in place.

Good if the teams and fans get deals on trips, maybe Belfast is more of an option for peeps who follow the sport.

If they are a progressive and forward thinking organisation someone better tell their pilots - they are going on strike Regards HL

Not if the league arrange fixtures in Belfast on Friday and a game back in England on the Saturday. It does not give you much time to enjoy the city and the sights DanzP, do you mean notice..

This is a signature on Steeltalk: Whilst it is meant to be a joke about Panthers not making the playoffs - regarding the flights to Canada - and is meant to be a bit of fun, I personally think its disrespecting of the league's new sponsor. Call me grumpy if you like Don't let it bother you, Steelers sign a few decent players and all the old arrogance comes flooding back. So, so predictable.

Deliberately saying/doing something to get a reaction - that's what is known as 'trolling', is it not?

Would you (more of an open-ended question) accuse someone at work of trolling if they said something to get a reaction?

This is a thread on the new sponsor of the league. So how do we get to be chatting about former Panthers players signing for Steelers. Talk about biting, if Helen B was a fish, she would have no top lip left... ;D Heard Chris Ellis talking on radio Nott'm about the new sponsor, it was stated that THE TEAMS would get cheaper flights to Belfast, but nothing about the fans. I suppose there will be some deals but some of the fares and taxes are cheap anyway.

So, like I thought - trolling. As for Panthers fans 'biting more' - maybe.... could perhaps have something to do with various individuals aiming so much trolling at us? Well, I wouldn't use that exact term, seeing as it's pretty much an internet-only term.... but, yes. Actually, come to think of it - I have actually done so.... when one of the bods from our Glasgow office sent round an email that was more than slightly derogatory about us English types... first of all, I replied using logic and the proper use of the English language to rip his 'argument' to shreds.... and when he complained that I was having a go at him, I just pointed out that he'd brought it on himself, etc. Anyway - we're going somewhat off topic again......

I should be biting at the bait, snarling at the thought of the pic. Saying that Nottingham is full of trolls and that the pic is pathetic. But yer know what, THAT's the response me personally wants to see. Complete and utter banter to the hilt. Give and good as yer get, and that pic does it for me, top effort. However, do become 21st century, it is Yorkie's that you see round God's County, not whippets

There are certain other Steelers fan (s) on here who are all me, me, me. Can't see past their own nose. That's what is starting to get boring and hence why some peeps are tired of it. I thought both photos were funny for the record.

However, do become 21st century, it is Yorkie's that you see round God's County, not whippets I was just having a laugh really.... It goes to extremes on this forum sometimes. I thought the BMI Baby picture was funny and well thought out. There's no point getting uptight about banter. I don't know the original context the BMI Baby picture was posted on Steeltalk but on here it just seemed like a bit of fun... perhaps an attempt at a stereotype, who knows.... The point is knowing where to draw the line between banter and trolling. I don't see that picture as trolling. Of course it was designed to get a reaction, but rather than take it as a personal attack, have a bit of lighthearted fun. That Ryanair picture took me all of 3 minutes to make and in my opinion it was the perfect response to a seemingly controversial topic. It could be deemed offensive, it could be perceived as an unwarrented attack, and it could be seen as stirring up an already volatile situation..... then again so could a picture of an innocent child eating a happy meal in Afghanistan. At the end of the day it's a picture.... Martin
