Actually Jono, we all knew Rod Stevens was an outstanding player when he signed for you, and that was the general consensus behind most fans. However, with the whole "Huppegate" scenario, and his general poor play. Even being dropped by Ed! Says something mate. I think you'll find that the general mood on KoTG is that Huppe isn't wanted. Ed don't want him for sure, otherwise him and his wife from Belfast would be back here. Isn't it incredible that Tess wasn't that good when he signed for the Steelers.

Hmmmmm, I seem to remember several Giants fans at the time of Rods signing for us (Admittedly on THF) saying that he wasn't that good when he left the Giants Isn't it incredible that Tess wasn't that good when he signed for the Steelers. Touche , however you'll always get it unfortunately. Personally speaking, I knew they'd got a gem in Tess.

I don't read THF, so I wouldn't know.
I only read KoTG in relation to the Giants as its where you will find the most fans with rational thought.
Rod Stevens was a fantastic talent for the Giants, even during the ISL days he was a true star. Common perception amongst 90% of the fans.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Huppe. Even before this rumour started.

And just think of all the Bentleys and Aston Martins lined up outside the stadium as part of their none-wage-cap related benefits ;D

Please let this be true. I could go a season with a Nott'm version of the "Huppe's Puppies" girls from the play offs a couple of years ago at every game.

Mr. Smith.

Ah but Mr Smith didn't walk out on Cardiff mid way through the season to move to another league to 'further his career' with a promise that he'd only come back to Cardiff if he returned to the UK, only to show up playing for Cardiff's biggest rivals less than a year later.

No, but he chose to move to a team who will pay him double his previous wage... Firstly: Secondly: You shouldn't really be making statements like that without evidence to back them up.

No, but he chose to move to a team who will pay him double his previous wage... what a naughty boy! changing club between season without breaking any contracts or anything like that in order to further his career. of course you would never move to another company to get paid more, would you?

I'm sure we are all waiting with baited breath, it is also possible he wasn't on that much at Cardiff so bringing his wages in line with the McAslans/tessier's of this world, just a thought?

Well...as my partner works inside the Devils management I do know exactly how much the guy was on last season and I do know how much he was offered in Nottingham. Adams told him where to go when he asked for £900 a week to stay in Cardiff, after he found out what Nottingham offered him. So the law of averages would say it's more than that, surely? Whether he got that deal, I'll never know, but it is sure as hell a massive step up from what he was on... Rink teams cannot compete with arena teams for wages, just as Cardiff lost out on signing Tessier last season, to the Steelers.

Adams told him where to go when he asked for £900 a week to stay in Cardiff, after he found out what Nottingham offered him. So the law of averages would say it's more than that, surely? Not at all. Averages have nothing to do with this. There could be many reason why he would rather play in Nottingham than Cardiff, and would therefore be prepared to play here for less than he'd be prepared to play for at Cardiff. I don't know if that's the case or not. I have no idea how much he was earning at Cardiff or how much he'll be earning in his next club. What I do know is that it's not a good idea to be making claims of that kind without evidence to back them up. Also, on a moral level, I don't think it's very appropriate for someone in your position to be publicising the information. I'd be pretty annoyed if my boss's wife publicised my salary.

Have I said the exact salary? Nope, didn't think so. And I won't state exact salaries on any forum, because it isn't any place to do so. However, it has been wafted around THF how much he has been offered in Nottingham, from a BLAZE director, so it is pretty common knowledge if you do your digging.
