OK. Let's have a bit of a trawl round the armpit end of the DEL for decent centres, who won't be in the playoffs... Straubing Trevor Gallant Marc Chouinard Augsburg Craig Darby Yannick Dube Travis Brigley (yes please, but he's a winger) Duisburg Matt Dzieduszycki (Stef may have other ideas...) Iserlohn Brad Purdie Jerely Addunono (Winger again, but ace last time DEL were in town, and he's played at Nottm before...) Richard Rochefort Might I suggest any of them would be an adequate replacement for Simoes/Moran. The problem is that even if these teams don't get to the playoffs, which is unlikely, they all have six or seven regular season games left which are going to take at least a fortnight to play. I doubt any of the players highlighted would leave their respective clubs early to come to us as it might not aid their chances of getting a contract over there for the following season. Unless of course they see themselves playing over here beyond the end of this season. I guess this is why Ellis was going to gap fill by re-registering.

Is that the same Marc Chouinard that played in the NHL last season?! Is that the same Craig Darby who led the Albany River Rats in scoring last season?! No seriously is it I'm doing an essay and haven't really got time to check myself

The post on fridat said we should hear in a couple of days, perhaps announcing on a Tuesday is better publicity in paper than on a monday?

Unless it's going to be a late in the day signing, we havent as yet got a new player. And on panthers site they are still on about Ellis getting permition to boot up and skte this weekend. So i doubt our new player will be here by then. But who knows what could happen with this Panthers Organisation.

It definitely looks like we are not going to get a new player for the weekend from the way they are wording the press releases.
If I were them though I would probably hold off on announcing the new signing as long as possible.
Its not as they need to hype Saturdays game up anymore than they have already.

Yeah looking at the press releases, it looks doubtful the new guy will be here for the weekend now.
I think with a big game coming up and best chance to end our hoo doo against them this year we have to have him (new guy) in the line up to face them.

Right, if is a Center from the DEL, who's teams season is over is has to be one of the bottom 4.
Thats leaves the following players as options:
Iserlohn Roosters: Brad Purdie G 17 A 16 PTS 33
Straubing Tigers: Trevor Gallant G 9 A 26 PTS 35 Bill Trew G 16 A 15 PTS 31
Augsburg Panthers: Craig Darby G 16 A 24 PTS 40
Duisburg Foxes: Matt Dzieduszycki G 19 A 19 PTS 38 Egor Bashkatov G 10 A 15 PTS 25
If he is, as we are led to belive "one of the top players in his league"; Craig Darby is ranked 16th in poitn scorers.

That would be funny, having Darby play for Nottingham. Looks a top player from his stats. Ex-NHLer, played at the top his whole life in either the NHL or AHL.
