Your only prone to head injuries when someone checks you to the back of the head like at Coventry or get checked into the boards head first, like in the play offs. And when you don't play the game with your head up and don't wear your protective equipment correctly. What protective equiptment wasn't he wearing correctley? And as for the comments from people about needing beiiger tougher D men, I disagree it's gonna be all about the players that can skate and handle the puck this season especially with the new NHL rules coming in, and that why IMO we don't have a good team this season and Sheffield and Belfast do

His helmet pantherfan.
Also...on what basis do you think we don't have a very good team, we certainly have plenty of players with speed who can handle the puck.

I just don't see any players on our roster that look like they are gonna score some goals, the last few seasons panthers have needed some more muscle and we have been out muscled on more then 1 occasion but I think the rule changes would have been perfect for a 04-05' panthers team but it looks to me like we have gone in the wrong direction this season.
But I would LOOOOOOOOVE to be proved wrong and anyway I haven't even seen alot of these guys play I'm just stat checking.

well stevens will score goals, petricko will get a few too, and i also belive blaz will be a regular scorer as well, ifs hes on the right line and gets some space he can also use his speed more effectively.
not forgetting David Clarke as well
and also our two main defenceman will put up the points

I just don't see any players on our roster that look like they are gonna score some goals You don't? - Matus Petricko... last EIHL season scored 23+38 (15th highest goalscorer, 8th highest points scorer) - Jan Krajicek... last EIHL season scored 14+25 (not bad for a D-man...) - David Clarke... we know he had injuries last year (and MWB problems?) - but the previous EIHL season scored 31+30 (joint 3rd highest goalscorer, 9th highest points scorer) - Rod Stevens... last season got 21+27 in a better league than ours - Corey Neilson... last ECHL season scored 13+35 (again, not bad for a D-man!) - Sean McAslan... last ECHL season scored 28+28 - even Blaz Emersic... got 10+26 last season whilst being on all sorts of different lines and even defence. Remember that last season we were a low-scoring team orientated towards defence. There is a decent likelihood of any or all of the above points potentials being boosted by more offensive-minded linemates... who knows? I'm beginning to be quite amused by how so many people are completely writing us off for this season... I think (and hope!) that they are fatally underestimating us.

Yeh i see your point but I'm just not a fan of "Big guy" teams, i know they can chip in aswell but this season its gonna be more about the smaller guys who can play
I also really want to be proved wrong aswell and I probobly will.
Also Clark looks pretty good so far, he broke a window on monday with a snapshot, and no I didn't mean slapshot.

A window or plexi glass? I can smash windows with my shots no probs lol!
For once I totally agree with Shaggy, we have firepower coming out our ass this season aswell as battlers and tough guys. If were down a goal with a couple of mins to go I wudnt mind sending out:
Krajicek, Neilson Stevens,Petricko,Mcaslan
As opposed to:
Bowen, Sebastian Sutter,Cote,Carderilli
Fair enough Carderill could get goals from nowhere but the others didnt have the natural pointscoring weve got this season

no offence everyone but whats any of this got to do with Sjogren? Absolutely nothing, plus the original rumour about him returning is now out of date so think this thread has run it's course
