Oh I'm so glad it wasn't just me then. Mine finally went back to normal, after trying it in 3 different browser applications.

doing it to me too. Only thing I can think of is that the server where the normal back ground image is has gone down or something. I'll look to see if i can fix it but prolly a job for Admin rather than a Mod

Image host by tripod I assume, like DoUrden says the background is hosted there....
They could have moved the picture or maybe its exceeded its bandwidth.... Could some mod just turn off the background picture and make it blank?
Its doing my eyes in.

It would have to be Admin to do that I'm afraid. Mod's don't have the power to edit the design. Or if they do I don't know where or how!

Maybe when setting up the forum, there was an option to select a background type. And now, proboards have deleted that particular background and this is the like reset one or whatever. I don't know, but just an idea. Mine's doing it too by the way!  |

It seems to be hit and miss, sometimes it's normal and other (most) times it's got this annoying background.

I had wondered what you guys were all talking about, as it was all normal for me.... and now in the last couple of minutes the background has turned dark blue! (makes the gold script at the top look very 'Lord Of The Rings'! ;D)

The images used were still being hosted on my old webspace, I used to pay for extra bandwidth but not any more. Sorry, I forgot about the Cage stuff. Luckily I remembered the Admin log in (Sorry MP!) so was able to let myself in and set a default background for now ...
