In the rush to get home and see Lost, I managed to leave my Panthers jacket under my seat in Block 7.
If anyone picked it up I will gladly swap it for a pint on Tuesday night.

Cheers for that. Mods may as well lock this before Dave Simms or Gary Moran get blamed for stealing my jacket.

I simply cannot believe the level you lot will sink too! How on earth can you now expect to wear that jacket on Tuesday when it has clearly been zipped and de-zipped at least twice this year?? As usual it's one rule for us and another for you. And yet when I wanted a Panthers scarf I couldn't just because it was still around a Panthers fans neck!!!! unberbloodylievable!!! And don't even start with the 'It was only zipped cos I had to nip out to Tesco's, and nobody else wanted to go' routine either, it don't cut it with me Popeye! Rules is rules. Dave Simms is as we speak contacting every sweat shop in the far east, rest assured your names will be MUD next year around the rag trade. LOL Glad you got it back fella.

And don't even start with the 'It was only zipped cos I had to nip out to Tesco's, and nobody else wanted to go' routine either, it don't cut it with me Popeye! Rules is rules. Special dispensation was granted as his missis did not want to go to Tesco, neither did the kids, which meant that he was third choice, and he was actually doing the household a favour. He should not be made to wear any other coat, or go in shirt-sleeve order just because he wanted to feed his kids. Had the ruling been clear, or dispensation not given in advance, a swift clip of the ear would have sent the kids gladly scurrying in order to keep their father's honour and future well-being intact. It's time the ruling on wearing Panthers clothes outside the arena was clearly defined and communicated. A man may now go cold, or hungry, as a sacrifice. In late news, breaking on the Steelers website, it is reported that Dave Simms has been banned from wearing the white suit should the Steelers reach the play-off weekend. In an attempt to redress the balance Mr. Simms has bought Neil Black's long black leather coat off of him at Tibshelf services this afternoon it was reported. It will be worn at Saturday's game at Basingstoke. Simms commented, "Well, it is bloody freezing down there".

I'm so glad the jacket has turned up. I had a horrible feeling that it had elected to go and be worn in Europe for the remainder of the season, a decision made with little or no thought for Shorty's feelings or the fact that it would leave him without a good jacket til the end of the year. As for next year? Well I wouldnt have put it past Shorty's Jacket to go and be worn in Yorkshire, the Steelers have been saying all season that the jacket was nothing special, but they'd have heralded as the best thing since sliced bread had it gone up there!

If the jacket does end up the M1 at any point, I hope we boo it at every opportunity upon it's return. The rumour I heard was, the jacket was expected to cover more & more area recently, & was feeling a tad stretched... it wasn't happy & wanted to leave

I think all jackets sporting EIHL logos should be worn inside out away from the rinks - no photos, no logos, don't want the public at large finding out about hockey do we?

I have been contacted to say that I can collect the jacket tonight, but as there has been an official complaint from a sheffield postcode, I am not allowed to wear it until clearance has been granted from the Anorak Associaton.
On Sunday night I did have a strange message left on my mobile stating that the anorak would never allow itself to be worn over any other clubs colours and that it wanted to return to Nottingham as quickly as possible.

Two pages about a missing jacket that isn't actually missing..... Seems we've all learnt something from the Sheffield Doctorate of Spin and Hyperbole! ;D

Good job it's a jacket and not a pair of trousers. The mess that the EIHL seem to make of anything with two legs means that you might have to have some considerable distance between one leg and the other... painful! ;D
