6 outskaters for the Panthers...Empty net, all or nothing...Hadden wins the face-off...Feeds it to Hoffman...AND IT'S THERE!!!...ROBERT NORDMARK SCORES...WITH 4.4 SECONDS REMAINING...HE'S DONE IT, THE PANTHERS HAVE DONE IT...AND THE JOY ON THE BENCH AT THE FAR SIDE OF THE ICE KNOWS NO BOUNDS!
Sorry, there's not much point to this, but i can't fail to think of this and not smile.

I look forward to great outpourings of dismay should it ever happen to the Steelers. Sometimes it's not what the result means that's important, it's how you feel at the time. To go from the Wooden Spoon and playoff elimination to 8th and the playoffs in the space of 5.6 seconds is quite a feeling! |

i can remember listening to this game on my walkman coming home home from work, when nordmark scored i just went barmy on the back seat of the bus!! everybody was giving me the evil look as to say " what the matter with him" joy o joy!

Just catching up reading these posts. "That night" after the game my husband went up to a Newcastle fan in the foyer and said 'do you know how Panthers went on tonight?' and he replied 'No idea', realised then what he had just said & we couldn't stop laughing. Although he was a disppointed fan his sense of humour was great.
