*sighs*
Its a little foolish - or spoiling for a fight - to slag someone off when they will in all probability read what you have to say.
Rollersnakes is a fantastic club and has been for many years, one of the most stable in the region, if not the country.
In my 6 years there players have only left for one reason: a terrible attitude.
Its easy to point to certain events and kick up a fuss but it has happend to all of us and we take it on the chin and become better players for it.
Your experience was the exception to the rule, and the reasons were nothing to do the with the club or anyone else there except yourself.

my son went to rollersnakes to try to improve and so asked the coach to help him. the coach said he would do 1 to1 next week and spent the next 6 weeks doing other things without a word to me or my son. in one game the other 3 players where all in the other teams end leaving my son to defend a 3 on 1 when the other team scored, the 3 players all blamed him for the goal. some of the words used i will not put on here. as a parent i would have helped the club when i could, but i felt let down by this as no one seemed to care about these things. no one from the club said anything about this incident. i do not think my son has a bad attitude but maybe his face or mine did not fit this clu.b he is still playing and playing well and haveing fun, something he did not much of in his time at rollersnakes

In regard to the issue with training, I think that 1 to 1 means different things to different people.
I have spent 1 to 1 time with every player I have ever coached, unfortunatley due to the time and rink and number restrictions this doesn't always mean spending half an hour solid with them each week, which is what some expect.
It is very difficult, selfish in fact, to expect 'individual coaching' at a session where there are 1 or 2 coaches to 20 kids, all of whom need just as much help.
Also, if parents come to me at any point and speak to me like an adult, any problems or issues they have I will do my upmost to address, something that I have done countless times.
Again, it is very easy to twist one event into whatever you want it to be. For the record, the kids all say things to each other that are unrepeatable on here, and if I as a coach hear them, I put a stop to it. If I talk to a player, it is always justified and never goes beyond the relationship a bench coach should have with a young player. If we had to justify every event to every parent, nothing would ever get done.
I firmly believe that there is a place for everyone and anyone at Rollersnakes, from GB international to novice who just fancies a game. Feeling that you have a had a bad time does not give you the right to slag off the club on a public forum.

Agreed thats pretty low to trash a club for not having personal 1-1 coaching after a short 6 week stint, whose your coach now "Braisby#37"?

your 1st point said you do not do 1on1 then why tell aplayer that you will and then do nothing some of the things said that day would be called bullying if done in school i am not slagging of your club just telling of the things that happened to my son

No, I said that 1 on 1 coaching means different things to different people. Your son was given personal notes on his game, which to me counts and indeed fulfils the original promise. If their is a mis-understanding, then that is your fault as much as anyone elses.
Some of the things said that day were bullying, pure and simple, and anything that was heard within my earshot was dealt with. Please dont think though that the abuse was only one way.
I appreciate that you are not slagging off the club, but the original posts did so and that is why I take issue.

it was the head coach that offered the 1 to1 but did not do it as i do not think you where at the game that day i do not know how you can make any comment on this at no time did we get any thing like "personal notes" when we asked we where told he was doing ok this is my last post on this its enough said about things long past

Lol.
Personal notes are for the player - I know for a fact, because I gave them, that personal notes were given. If a player chooses to ignore what their coach says then thats fine, but they were given.
Doing ok is what is said to most parents generally - not sure what other feedback can be given at the end of a session when there's people waiting to get home.
I can make comment because I have heard the other side of the story, even if I wasnt at the game.
You are correct. Long past.
But long past still doesn't give anyone the right to come on here and slag off a fantastic club.
