For all those that are going to training tomorrow, can we meet in the Cafe area of the Olympic Rink. I'm aiming to be there for 4.15 to sort out the changing rooms & stuff. On the ice at 5.00
Cheers,
Jono

That's a rare photo Jono, you on the ice but not on your backside. Can't make it tomorrow, visiting friends in Sheffiield.

Excellent, should be a good session. I think we'll go with 15 minutes warm up and then an hour scrimmage. As it's the last training session before the big game I think we'll mix the teams up this week. Warren & TC (the netminders) can pick teams in a school playground stylee ! ;D (Yes I know I'll be the last one picked before anyone says it! )

I'm just glad I'm able to make one of the training sessions before the big game, I was feeling that I was missing a lot (and feeling a bit jack) not making the Sheffield sessions but being so far away and with them being early in the day it was too difficult. Todays late afternoon session, combined with Nottingham being that bit closer makes it perfectomondo and I'm looking forward to seeing y'all later on. (Don't worry, I shouldn't be too rusty ... I have been training )

Hope training went well, and no fresh injuries for the bench to worry about ahead of next Sunday

It was a good session yesterday. The arena ice was very daunting, but at least I got to live out my dream of flattening a Panther at centre ice(ish) ;D So yeah, I really enjoyed myself yesterday.

I came along to watch with my son. It was nice to put a few more names to faces and say hello to faces I already knew. Couldn't figure out the locker room siutation though when I was trying to find Starr #97 afterwards though to give him a lift back. I was also sat waiting in the Olympic Ice Pad and didn't realise until about 5:25 that they weren't coming out. Doh! No one told me.

Flatten?? More like bump into and fall over! It was nice to live the dream, sitting on the Panthers bench, playing on the arena ice and scoring ;D Thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday, i hope everyone enjoyed themselves.

i hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Certainly did matey, and as you say skating the hallowed ice made it special! I'm so glad I made it up for the session, felt good and was great to see some old faces. I was impressed by the standard of play, to think there were folk there that had never touched a puck before this project began underlines the hard work that people have put in to make next Sunday a success. Well done all. The line changes did leave much to be desired, much confusion at the start with the forwards on our team as to who was on when and what position, next week though that shouldn't be a drama with someone running the bench. The other thing I noticed on both teams were the dreadful number of off side infractions, next weeks game will last into monday if the ref blows up for every one. Think about positioning people, if that puck goes out over the blue line then so do you before you can touch it again. But hey, I'm just nit-picking! Roll on next Sunday ;D
