depends... i think the next poster said he had posted good numbers in austria.
Id imagine he cant be that one dimensional to be honest after time in the NHL and a lot in the AHL...

and with time of playing in the big NHL or AHL comes big egos Teddy. I have no idea what Ndur is like. Thommo's pretty chuffed with all his D'men signings this year becuase they all come with reputations as being winners and team guys but until they are here we'll never know. Anyway, getting to the point of my post. What you have posted is, IMO, just plain wrong. I've seen guys come over here from leagues like the NCAA and have ego's and I've seen guys like Wade Belak come over here and bust-a-gut for the badge. It makes no difference what league a player, plays in, if the guy's a winner he's a winner and he ain't going to change.

See this guy played in same team as Dan Tessier & Brad Voth the Columbus Cottonmouths, should be interesting when they meet in the corners. ;D

I think Ellis has signed Neilson on the promise he doesnt either. They both are 'high quality' players We might be wrong and he might be a JC or Theo. But i wouldnt be so quick to jump to the conclusions. Thommo is no fool and wouldnt knowingly make a mistake like that

Ellis does appear to be putting together a bunch of guys that have a reputation as being team players but at the moment it's also seems to be a roster full of very average players.

Doesn t mean he was good in the dressing room, which is what we appear to have this year I'd rather they were good on the ice than in the dressing room I think Blaze will be fine for on-ice / dressing-room leaders this season. Tait and Martin will again no doubt keep the C and an A respectively. I'd guess the other A will go to Cloutier (3 season AHL captian), or maybe Simonton. Back on topic, if Ndur plays simple, stay at home D and positions himself alright, he should round out the defence nicely. I don't expect the other 'tough guys' to be scared of him (in the way that some seem to think Shmyr will put the fear of God into people), but he will do the enforcer job well and give as good as he gets. Known to have a short fuse though, so hopefully he won't land the team in trouble with that. I love it when a team signs a new enforcer and the fans come out with 'lets see player X try his tricks now' etc... Using Payette as the obvious example, he 'tried his tricks' last season when guys like Voth, Darby, Belak, Oduya, Darling, Maxwell etc were on the ice, and again the season before with Cairns, Belak, Angelstad, Cornish & co. Why would any player who has made a living out of being a hockey 'hardman' be scared of an opponent? Whoever comes to the league this season, all the enforcers will have faced harder guys in the past than they will here I reckon. Having said that, it does seem there will be more physical players in the league this year than normally. Rock on.

Yeah I know what you mean. I am not sure whether or not to be massively impressed. Krajicek, Petricko, Neilson and Stevens appear to be good players..........but the rest seem just average players, but ones who will bust a gut to try and win. Hopefullly its a combo that will pay off. Rather a team of triers who gel, than a team of prima-donnas who couldnt give 2 hoots.

According to someone on THF (which I can't access at work so can't quote it for you) Ndur's UHL scouting report says that he is very prone to getting himself suspended - major disciplinary issues. I think the word "lazy" was also used....
If that's the case, this has not added value to Coventry's roster IMHO, but taken some away from it....

Looking at the coventry roster this season i think they will be the team to beat this season there strong. I dont think any other team will be as strong as coventry.

Looking at the coventry roster this season i think they will be the team to beat this season there strong. I dont think any other team will be as strong as coventry. I disagree. I don't think that there's any team that looks decisively stronger than everyone else. I mean - look at the teams that people keep talking about as being the strongest:- Belfast. How the hell anyone can say that is beyond me. They've signed half a team so far, and not even got a #1 netminder yet. Some serious firepower up front, but the D could be slightly suspect, and there are serious concerns about a lack of depth. Coventry. A strong Brit contingent and some high-profile import forwards... but depth could again be an issue. D looks reasonable, but nothing spectacular - how that will affect Koenig is anyone's guess. Nottingham. All of a sudden, our stock seemed to plummet when we signed Lindsay, all on the strength of his lack of success backstopping a frankly pants Racers team. There's logic for you. The fact that we've gone for several upper-middle-ranking players instead of some serious superstars appears to have people thinking we'll be poor (this after the praise for signing Petricko and Krajicek... ah, but that's old news, isn't it? : . Sheffield. Yes, despite only having signed half a team, there are people touting them as being 'obviously' better than us, just because they signed Tessier. Well, they're going to need him... with a definitely suspect blueline corps and an erratic netminder, even scoring lots of goals may not help them. A better Brit contingent than last season may help them... who knows? This looks like a close season to me.... Basingstoke are shaping up far better than last season IMHO, Hull and Manchester are unknowns, Cardiff (as ever!) are a wild card, Newcastle seem to be sinking into the mire of goonsville, and whilst I can't see Edinburgh challenging for trophies, they could still surprise - the signing of Murphy hands them an extra outskater recruitment opportunity.
