don't know if it has been mentioned but upon reading todays post i find that once again we are having a date changed The GMB Nottingham Panthers announce a fixture change.
The ice at the National Ice Centre is no longer available on Saturday December 18th and the game against Coventry will now be played on Tuesday December 28th with a 6pm face-off. Date added: 16/11/2004 also we will not be appealing against the penalty against ivan.

Oh, that's just freakin' brilliant..... NOT! We originally had a game scheduled against Bracknell on the 28th, didn't we? - and when that got changed, I thought - wahay, that's freed the day up for the inevitable family holiday stuff! Now I've got to bl**dy re-arrange things AGAIN! Not to mention that's zero Saturday home games next month now - in fact this coming Saturday is now going to be the last Saturday night at home with the Panthers until Jan 8th! One minor bonus, I suppose..... it means I'll be able to enjoy the full day of the U20s World Championships at Ice Sheffield that Saturday and cheer GB on against Norway.

Not happy at all, to say they've had my money since May, was it? Yet another change from a Saturday to midweek, alot of people will miss this due to being back at work, so then why is the National ICE Centre no longer avaliable, another date by Wet Wet Wet @ £25 - £37.50 or Noddy live starting early @ £10 - £16.50 a ticket ?

WTF is this 6pm start about? On a Tuesday??? Surely mid-week games are slightly LATER than normal due to most people being at work???

Better get writing the christmas cards quick,if I only have 1 game in december to hand them out.
It`s going to be a long pre-christmas december with just the 1 sunday game.
Not been able to find out what is going on in place of the game.

I suppose that they are assuming that most people will be off work, given that it's between Xmas and New Year..... something of a silly assumption, really. It's a good job for me that I'm off, because getting to the NIC for 6pm from Chesterfield would be a bit of a stretch....

Isn't the 28th a Bank Holiday? They maybe assume many people won't be at work!
Forest are home to Sunderland at 3pm that same afternoon.

Xmas Day & Boxing Day are Sat/Sun respectively, so those Bank Holidays will automatically transfer to Mon 27th and Tues 28th, no? All becomes clear....... looks like I owe the NIC/Panthers an apology.

Not to mention that's zero Saturday home games next month now - in fact this coming Saturday is now going to be the last Saturday night at home with the Panthers until Jan 8th! welcome to our world, I don't think we've got another home saturday until January and the last one was 6 November and the next one for us is 15 January. Also you should count yourselves lucky we got virtually no home games this month (like usual) and no home games over christmas (not like usual) due to the arena deciding that the panto would be more beneficial or more to the point SIV who seemingly run nearly all venues in Sheffield. However, unlike you ours don't normally get cancelled and re-arranged, now that would annoy me, I mean for it to happen once is ok, but twice?? thats just carelessness. It's about time that the arenas realised they need the hockey teams to keep the venue ticking over, and yes while concerts and ice shows bring in more money to the arenas, the hockey provides a more regular income.

Actually, I think that's the FIFTH game that's been re-scheduled..... there was another Coventry one, the Bracknell game I mentioned, the Sunday victory ;D against yourselves, the Edinburgh home game and now this one.......

Mixed thoughts about this, on the one hand we now have two games over the Christmas period but on the other our last pre-Chrimbo road game is on the 4th of December at Guildford too

Fortunately, I can still go on the 28th, so I'm unaffected by this fixture change. I'm still seething, however, at having to miss the home game v Steelers which, by all accounts, has been the best game so far this season (certainly the most satisfying, but that goes without saying !).
Much sympathy to those who now have to miss out.....I know what it feels like !

Well, that's me well and truly fed up! I planned a week's holiday in Derbyshire (from southampton) so as to take in that game. The last time I was coming to the area, the game got rearranged too. I think I'm fated to not see any this year And guess what? i'm not in the area at Christmas until 30 December so I miss the boxing day and 28 dec games. I give up - just consign me to a long list of family visits and boredom!

Can you tell me when you're next planning to come to a Home game - I'll make arrangements to miss the game secure in the knowledge it will be re-scheduled I know how you feel Lynne - and they have the gall to try and make it sound like they're doing us a favour moving the game! Didn't want to travel on a Bank Holiday but.... perhaps I could shift my Christmas sojourn forwards by a day... Mind you, not sure about going to the game straight off the back of an 11 hour drive... it would have to be a damn good game or I'd be asleep for most of it.
