it ruins a month or so of your summer unless you take the hayfever tablets, and then you can still get it. someone should invent a cure for it LOL ;D

I agree with you, i hate it. I take tablets, nasal spray and eyes drops, and i still get it then. I always look like ive had a smack in my eyes coz they go all red and sore.

I know what you mean...i was driving around yesterday when my eyes began itching like mad, then sneezing my head off...i hate it i really do. I've suffered from it for years and i still can't handle it. You can't help but rub your eyes when you have it...no matter how hard you try not to...... Love the summer but hate it because of the Hayfever.

Hoping to go to the docs and get the steroid injection sometime this week.
We are going camping early August and seeing as I seem to suffer symptoms pretty much all year round, it can be a real pain in the butt!
I get the itchy throat thing as well - end up waking myself up in the night cos i've been itching my throat - you will know what I mean if you suffer from hayfever! To others it may sound strange

I get the itchy throat thing as well - end up waking myself up in the night cos i've been itching my throat - you will know what I mean if you suffer from hayfever! To others it may sound strange I know exactly what you mean because I don't understand it at all but my partner suffers with it terribly. The past week her right eye has been constantly tearing and she can't stop rubbing it or keep it open. She looks likes she's been punched by a boxer (and no cracks about that just being her cos she will hit you like a boxer too!). Add to that that she hasn't slept for a whole night for weeks, she weezes constantly and is always blowing her nose. Now add to that that when she lived in England she didn't get it as bad but now in a rural town in northern Germany (her home town) its all hayfever systems go.

Oh-ho yes! The eyes are red, swollen and very itchy and watery. Feels like you have about 6 eyelashes caught under your eyelids that are superglued on! We went skating this morning - on the way my eyes were swollen as I don;t know what - I got a reprieve whilst in the arena but as soon as I got back outside in the car - woosh! back up they were again! That accompanied by the nosedbleeds too - fan-bloomin-tastic!

Well she's never got nosebleeds but she was the most short-tempered person in the world BEFORE the hayfever struch again so you can only imagine what she is like now! Unfortunately I don't have to imagine!!

I am not a happy camper! Never had Hayfever and I have started to get a few of the symptoms this year! Snap, so have I. Never had it before this year and been starting to suffer this year. Been taking the Benadryl and that is not getting rid completely. Woke up this morning and felt stuffy, like you would if you had a cold. And I've had watering eyes, which is another new one... not happy. sat inside listening to the chart show with the fan keeping me coolish.

You need to try the plus - helps more! I am inside whilst the boys are outside in the pool I can hear them splashing but as I am already itchin my eyes, throat, wiping my runny nose and stopping it bleeding for the 2nd time today - I don't think it would be great to go outside and join them as much as i'd like to!

My partner has lived in the UK and Germany and she says the UK meds for hayfever pretty much bar none are useless especially for the worst sufferers.

Fortunately I've never suffered from hayfever (bar the occasional snuffle) - which is just as well given the time I've spent in the great outdoors over the years.
It sounds a truly wretched condition - I hope I'm spared in the future.

Apparently eating a spoonful of honey that is produced within a 2 mile radius of your home is an excellent way of either stopping or lessening the symptoms. It's a method that worked with me, but now I live in Coventry, I can't eat honey from Gedling I find a very cold wet flannel gets rid of the burning sensation re yoyr eyes, the feeling that you just want to scratch till your eyes bleed

Been to the docs this AM for the steroid injection - didn;t get much sleep last night, that and not being able to breath made the desision that I should have the day off and sort myself out! 24hrs and I can pretty much kiss bye bye to most of the symptoms for 6-8 weeks!
