i've seen quite a few posts about people wishing they could get the panthers vids on dvd. well lately i've been thinking about purchasing some equipment to do this i was wondering if there would be an interest to get this done for the Panthers vids that you might have or want? and say something like £5 for each dvd video.

this might be ok for personal use but when someone starts to charge for this service then it becomes a business and copyright law applies. To do this i am sure you would need permission off the panthers management, the arena and probably the people who do the recording...

i am sure they would allow you too if you sold it to them from the stand and hadthere name on it(and they got some money out of it)
i mean if i had the kit i would do it for free for panthers(because i'm nice LOL) wouldn't be surpirsed if they don't already have the kit there though to do it.

Don't take my word for it, But this is what I am lead to believe.
You will not be able to do this legally if you are selling the dvd's. Something to do with copyright saying that you may create CD's/DVD's and download as long as it is for personal use only. If the police etc were to find out, you could end up with a hefty fine on your hands.
I'm sure though that the people who record the game will be able to put the finished games onto DVD's and sell them. All we'll need to do is ask and show some support for the idea and if he has a big interest then I'm sure he'd do it for us.

I've got one of those DVD recorders, and it's totally replaced my VCR. I've been recording things for my friends in Canada that they can't usually see.

Better quality no, unfortunatley the quality will be slightly worse than the VHS tape you are copying? Best way to do it, would be get the DV originals from Mr Moran (no chance), run them through a capture card on your peecee and burn them to DVD that way. This way would keep the signal digital all the way, the way they are done now, is DV (digital camcorder tape) copied to VHS and sold. I would also bet that the ones on sale are all copies from a VHS copy so they are third generation analogue to start with (hence the poo poo*y quality). Therapy 'The Pirate' wanna buy a dodgy dvd mate
