The league without a shadow of doubt!. The slog of playing through 54 games with decisions evening themselves out shows that the cream rises to the top. The Blaze were worthy champions. It would be fabulous to see the Panthers named scribed on the trophy in the place marked 2007/08.

The league because its the greater challenge, but the playoffs generate more excitement and are a great spectacle.

The Panthers don't do league titles. Not even Carlsberg can manage that!

Only one team can call themselves the Champs.
League Champions. Play Off Winners. Challenge Cup Winners. BKO Winners.
Add the 3 cup competitions together and you still don't equal winning the league.
Like Shin though.... I think fondly of the Coke Bowl........

..we are known as elite league champions even though we didnt win the league... eh?! By who? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) League is obviously the most important - a season long campaign v a 4 game mini tournament? No contest.

As a player, it has to be the playoffs. Think it is just the north american influence on hockey in this country. Each year with the lions, i start the season aiming for the playoffs. If we win the league on the way, its a bonus. I have never once heard my coach talk of winning the league during the season. Even if we were 1 win away, it would be 'win today boys and we make the playoffs'.

Each year with the lions, i start the season aiming for the playoffs. Good good! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Anyway, I think the trouble with playoffs in this country is that fans inevitably draw comparisons with the football playoffs in this country rather than the North American sports playoffs. What I mean is, the playoffs in football are for the teams that weren't quite good enough to qualify for automatic promotion over the course of the season, and are given a second chance to go up a league as the fastest losers, so to speak. In the NHL, the Stanley Cup is the real trophy, although the Conference Champions do have home ice advantage in each playoff series, making it almost worth playing for. If the playoffs lasted for longer than only a few games in this country then they would be given more credibility as a competition.

The play-offs are more exciting from my personal point of view, just because its the only time when all the different fans come together and the nervous feeling over the entire weekend.
Also the league has already been forgotton and everybody wants to end on a high and have that happy feeling all summer long. More than once has the beginning of summer been ruined by the Panthers.

to players its the play-offs to most english fans its the league
although i'm sure most fans will say the play-off are more exciting to win because it is all on one game. but the league is harder to win in this country so thats the one you have to go for

The league, the league and following that the league!
I think we, as Panthers fans, treat the league as the holy grail because it's that long since we've won it!

Well I am still kinda new to this (I've been to 8 games in total), but I was personally quite embarrassed by the Panthers performance in the 2006/2007 League ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) Really proud of the play-offs result of course, but I couldn't be there in person that weekend so didn't actually get to see the glorious moment itself Now we know the Panthers are champions and are capable of beating everyone else, I'm looking forward to seeing much better results in the league very soon ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
