To be fair I don't think the steelers are that clever. Darby probably just lost it as he didn't like the fact that we were playing steelers at there own game and beating them!
I didn't see the start of the fight on the bench but I definitely feel that after a review of the video footage legal advice should be saught, seeing if it is possible to press charges against Darby.

Call me cynical, but I don't expect any major changes to result from this 'emergency meeting'. We might get Ryan's Match penalty reduced to a Game, just to throw us a bone... but not much else.
- Boniface swapped out as ref? - hmmmm.... doubt it, to be honest. - Game awarded 5-0 to Panthers? - not a chance, definitely an April Fools there. - Any kind of penalty upgrade/supplementary discipline to Sheffield for Darby's involvement or Lehman leaving the crease to initiate a fight? - nope.
Carpet lifted up at the edge, ready for a bit of sweeping...

If Steelers play the Darby was just a spectator who intruded onto our bench card then he should be treated like a football hooligan and get a life ban from every arena in the Uk

Toothless, gutless and inept doesn't begin to cover it.

he didn't like the fact that we were playing steelers at there own game and beating them! Can you explain that? We haven't got the toughness or aggression to have played like that at all this season so how is it playing us at our own game? Every time we have beaten you we have done so by playing quite decent skilled hockey because aside from Cloots this season we haven't had anyone that could play any other way.

(remember even we noted that Tessier could get well nasty when he played for us).

When you beat us 1-0 a couple of months back you did so by winding us up and removing us from the game so we were left shortbenched. You can be a nasty, cynical team when you want to be. You tried the same again last night but this time we weren't having it and you didn't like that one bit.

You're quite correct Craig, you haven't got a particularly tough team but they are past masters at cheapshotting, diving and being generally underhanded. The Panthers are no angels either but I'm not here trying to justify the way my team played. Steelers tried to wind the Panthers up last night and paid the penalty. Not before time in my opinion.

Hey Shaggy, you forgot Maltby, Sacratini and Johnson. Horrible little players. True, but I didn't notice them anywhere near as much... in fact, I barely remember noticing Sacratiny at all! Very unusual, as I always remember him be a right sparkplug (as well as troublemaker). Maybe he truly is a bit past it... which is a bit sad, really.

even tho im not going...i still think boni shud ref - he lets the game run and it isnt his fault about the fights...we are known to have the biggest rivalary with steelers...i think if they replace boni the ref wont no wot to do if something from this match kicks off in the next! Blind reffing comes to mind when i see a quote like yours. It's obvious you've never seen an NHL match or Del match where it's the ref who controls the game. Sure enough there are fights. But usually the 2 ref's keep the game under control by what they call and punish. Boni doesnt do this right, and thats why we had what we had.

Sacratiny was up in ree's face abit too much, so much so they both got 10min for it at one point. So you wouldnt of noticed him cause he was always in the box and it aint easy seeing a dwarf sat on a penalty bench.

Personally having seen Vez a few times in a Steelers shirt i dont think its that he is past it i just dont think his heart is in it as much as it was when he had a Devil on his chest.

Vez was really bad last night when he was in the penalty box, being very abusive to the penalty/timekeeprs staff and threatening them with his stick.
He was calling them cheats even though it was Nigel that said Meyers should go out after the goal and not Shmyr as the bench had said.
