Just WOW!!!!!!! A statement of intent if he was a free agent but Ravensburg announced his extension on the 7th April Yes. I'd written off the possibility because of that too.

Best player in the league, but also a massive leader. This is fan-bloody-tastic!

Love the way he talks about the club and the fanbase in the article.
Given that he's a college graduate, his age and given that they also never announced Adam was on the 2year uni deal when he first signed, I've got my fingers crossed that he's quietly going to be getting his MBA at the same time and will be with us for two years. Is that too much to hope for? as the deciding factor that helped lure him back???

Best player in the league, but also a massive leader. This is fan-bloody-tastic! The very definition of a franchise player. He'll pick the team up and carry it when it's needed. And, perhaps, one of the few players that could come in and lead the teammates that have returned after the events of last year. He was only here for part of a season but he *is* Nottingham (which is made clear in the article) so just what we needed!

In the squad planning for the new 2024/2025 season, the Ravensburg Towerstars have to accept a setback in the offensive. Striker Sam Herr will not return to Ravensburg after the summer break. He asked for the termination of his contract for personal reasons.
At the end-of-season celebration on 8 April, the contract extension was announced to great applause from the fans. However, the Towerstars now have to reschedule, as the 31-year-old approached the club management with a request to terminate the contract. The club management of the Towerstars was disappointed by this, but ultimately complied with the request. "We thought long and hard about whether we would comply with Sam's wish and had many discussions. In the end, however, it makes little sense to keep a player who wants to leave the club and is not on the ice with one hundred percent conviction," says Marius Riedel, sporting director of the Towerstars.
The American forward will no longer play for the Towerstars in the coming season and will instead move to English-speaking countries for a transfer fee. Sam Herr played 192 competitive games for the Towerstars and also accompanied the office of team captain in the past two years. The Towerstars would like to thank Sam Herr for his commitment over the past three years and wish him all the best in his future sporting and private life

Incredible news. We are looking like having a top 6 capable of matching anybody in the league. We are potentially looking at a 2nd line of Roy, Neimenen and Henbrant? A long way to go and some massive peices of the puzzle still to sign but it's looking good early doors. Wonder what's caused Black to blow the cobwebs off the wallet? I’m wondering if the all-in season tickets have helped funds, always seemed a no-brainer to me if you get as much money as you can up front. Whatever it is, lets keep it up

Wasn't expecting this today, it's the kind of singing that gets announced as the Season Tickets go on sale or a the final announcement.
I've said previously we need an Enforcer to keep teams honest, with the talent we have now, it's imperative.
Really good Announcement video as well but it could also have been done as part of a Danny Stewart interview where he talks about a game and/or player that gave him nightmares as well as posing highlights of that Coventry game, would have got us speculating and wondering.
Do the top teams now take us more seriously?

If they would have offered to double his swages to get him to stay you would expect him to give 100% while he's there, he doesn't strike me as a going through the motions type of player or person. But I doubt they could have turned down his request to leave.

Top two lines containing Otto and Roy, Herr and Alfaro. What the hell is going on and where are the real Nottingham Panthers?

Even I can’t fault that one. 👍 Play with a straight bat mate. Might get up some peoples noses but that fine.

If we don't get Henbrant back then I can see Neilson on the Roy line.

Serious statement of intent, arguably our most influential player since David Ling in the league winning season. What's more is he looks like he will have a quality supporting cast, terrific work.

Let’s hope we’ve not blown the budget on these 4 . We need a great goalie & defence. Wouldn’t mind seeing Anderson back with his experience, being as he hasn’t bothered going home.

Hope we have some quality at the back lined up too. Frontline looks strong, but the best teams build from the back. Our defence last year was dreadful. Would settle for a few risky / cheaper signings up top if we can get some solid defenders in - and a good keeper of course!!

I'm not normally a fan of "let's sign this bloke again, he was good a few years ago", as the list of people who weren't as good second time round is much longer than the other list, but this is Sam Herr. IMHO one of the best players to pull on a Panthers' jersey full stop, let alone the last few years. So he 101% gets a pass.
Utterly splendid news.
One hopes we don't have any cause to revisit this thread of unrelenting positivity when the first 6 games are losses...

I can't imagine there will be too many more blockbuster forward signings now. Expectations should be adjusted accordingly. As you say, D wins championships.

Great signing. Herr is the best forward we have had since Ling and the best for sheer determination since Fox. Just need a couple of decent wingers to go on the top two lines and then some forwards to fill the other roles and we are looking good.
Hopefully get some good D now and a decent Nettie. Danny has recruited some good netties whilst he has coached here so fully expect him to get us a couple of good ones.

A recent social media post had the slant that he was thanking us for the 2 years here and that will be the end of his time here. And if we’re being brutally honest yes he has experience but he underperformed for large periods and I would hope we can upgrade.

There aren’t really any more words to be said about this signing that haven’t been said already.
Great work by the club in getting this done and the willingness to pay the fee (I don’t think it was much in the grand scheme) to make it happen.
Every single ounce of excitement and optimism is justified today!

Great interview by Chris. That's the first time ever I've been refreshing the YouTube channel for a player interview at 6.59.
