Five home games gives us a chance to do that. Our road results have been better than home of late (3 of our 4 wins since returning to play have been on our travels), so the NIC might not be the advantage we'd hope it to be. Fife away next up might be the perfect fixture for us to make it 2 in a row. I understand our reasons for doing it, but given the travel involved some weekends, would we be better off with a 6pm face-off rather than a 4pm? In the DEL teams play Friday and Sunday, to give that bit more recovery time.

Noticeable lack of posts from certain people following the win I see 😊 Just an observation. Saying something remotely positive quite clearly isn’t in their lexicon.

What an horrendous schedule we have coming up, just had a look basically 16 games in 28 days Sat, Sun and midweek for almost a whole month and up and down to Scotland only to play at 4pm on the next day. They are going to be knackered.

That's a nasty little cheapshot after the 6th goal by Kristo. Right when Lunsjo wasn't expecting anything. No wonder Neilson was so upset.

Having caught up on the highlights, I gasped when Kozun jumped over Henbrant sliding towards him. He must have been confident in himself otherwise that could have been very bad.

Nothing from DOPS yet, is Paré in the clear?

Nothing from DOPS yet, is Paré in the clear? You’d have thought something would have been released at this stage if he was going to get a ban.

Whilst it didn't result in anything more serious than a bit of overacting, it's not clever and is generally quite frowned upon. Weren't one EIHL team talking of signing someone a while back who'd already been suspended twice for headbutting this season already?

3 games feels a bit harsh for a love tap. I agree it isn't acceptable, but 3 games considering other bans you see is a bit excessive. Why wait until Friday too? Somebody forgot and somebody somewhere reminded them most likely

Absolute joke of a ban.
What happened to the Coventry player who kept banging Otto Nieminen head on the ice a few weeks ago? Bugger all!!

Decision made on thursday and Panthers were informed. Looks worse than what it was, not as bad as Shannon Hope on Chris Kelland in the early 90s which drew blood. Lots of it. What would DOPS have made of that one ?

3 games is very lenient I think, could have been more. When I first saw it into he's getting a ban for this

I feel this is a bit excessive. He messed up and deserves a ban but three is too much I feel

Let's be honest. It's ridiculous. Head butting is silly but there was never any danger of causing harm or injury. A game penalty was fair. Most would have understood a token upgrade to match and 1 game ban, but it doesn't really warrent that.

Nothing from DOPS yet, is Paré in the clear? Bugger. 🤣 3 feels one too many. There have been far more dangerous plays get less games.

I’m blaming you Bob, they didn’t inform the Panthers until Thursday so must have read your post on here and remembered to review it! Anyway, for me, yes the action in the video doesn’t seem to be a 3-game ban. However, I do think this is more of a deterrent for head butting in general and so I understand the 3 games for sure. Pare will learn from this and I’m sure get physical in more ‘hockey-friendly’ ways in the future 😂

Still bugging me this one so looked at the rules a little more. Clearly they arn't going to stipulate length of a ban and as ever a lot is left open for officials to make their own decisions. Looking at the rulings though what Pare did is right at the bottom end. Fair enough it probably just steps over the mark of an attempted head butt, but only just. From all that is written there what he got in the game was the correct call. It sort of makes me think of the Kelsey Wilson Slash. The scale of slashing punishments can go from right down at 2 minutes and of course we know it can be a big ban if the player makes a real dangerous play. This is very much a case of. Head-butting sounds bad, better be 3 games. As many have said, comparing to some of the check to the head bans makes this just a farce.
