Another frustrating end to the night, battled hard and deserved the victory on the whole but you’re going to struggle to win many games only scoring 1 goal. Again we came out on top in the expected win % on EIHL’s tracking of the game, which is becoming a familiar theme.
Rok was pretty good throughout but his weakness at 5-hole was highlighted again unfortunately. Wayyyyyyy too much overplaying in the offensive zone as well, Michaud guilty of trying to walk the puck into the net, defence men again reluctant to fire the puck in from the blue line. I really wish we’d shoot more.
I thought Anderson was worthy of his motm, got stuck in, stood up to Locke, he was direct and threatening with his play, taking players on and getting shots off.
Saw Després walking down the concourse and he looked fine, so it could be true that he wanted to play tonight and was prevented from doing so. With 4 dmen why not let hm dress and see how he fairs in warmup? A bewildering decision
Good to see the fan involvement tonight, great shot from the bloke in block 5 with the beer, Locke wasn’t very happy😂reminded me of years gone by

With 4 dmen why not let hm dress and see how he fairs in warmup? A bewildering decision The decision is being made by the doctor he saw due to the specifics nature of his injury to his eye, whilst his sight is unaffected from the high stick I believe there are still issues that haven’t yet recovered so the recommendation is for it to heal fully to prevent any issues for him and given it’s his sight I understand that.

Overall I think it was an enjoyable game, with the amount of missing players we really battled. However what is the current issue with not shooting and too much overpassing imo?? For the gwg we win the face off in their zone and take it out....why For the moment we are last and they are in 3rd but overall I think we're very close, with returnees and new blood I think the turnaround will come It happens a lot in the NHL. Teams like momentum and speed in the 3x3 and find it difficult to set up plays from a static.position in the opposition end, where it's easier for the defending team to reassert position. So the attacking team take the puck out to give themselves more room to attack.

Ah I thought we as a club had chosen not to to play him just as a precaution, that’s fair enough then if he’s still under a doctors instruction. I’m glad he’s not had any damage to his eyesight, hopefully he’s back for the Belfast double header

Really enjoyed last nights game. If we’d been on a good run, we’d have got the second point, just one of those things.
But as a spectacle it was more like the game I fell in love with. There was an undertone all game, some niggle, attacks were made with speed, and both goalies were solid.
I’m gutted for the guys that we lost but it was entertaining and enjoyable, and the type that if I was a first timer would have me coming back.
I think Caruso has been really good recently, much like the player we signed, a physical experienced stay at home d man, I thought he was dominant. Really like Hazeldine and think he looks a really good British D man, and one I hope we keep for years, he looked at home. And as has been mentioned, Tyler Welsh is someone you can’t help but like. His ability to retain the puck in tight areas, strip opposition of the puck, and his incessant work rate are such excellent qualities.
Our second line (Michaud/ Lemay) struggled on face offs last night, unsure if it was due to their opponent in the dot or not. Hopefully Paré coming in helps that (although originally I’d thought he’d be third line), and equally can help us to finish our checks and stand up for ourselves in these types of games.
We’re not far away, wish we could get timelines on these injuries! Betteridge but particularly Farley there has been little to no update on their condition etc.
Hope we can get over the line in Fife tonight.

When have panthers ever been transparent with injury reports? Never is the answer.

It was a great game (webcast; We have not been to a game since Christmas), and our guys put in 1000% effort. The effort from Anderson and Welsh, in particular, was nonstop. Without the tragedy in October, I think we would have been 'near' the top still, but a bit of tinkering would have ensured it. I worry that some of the few essential guys will want to move on at the end of the season, and that's a massive shame. The lack of players and the lack of balance leading to the losses, I think, just makes this worse. If this great bunch of guys could be putting in effort and winning I think that would have kept some here. I have my fingers crossed AND I hope we start next year WITH the right balance.

Did I hear right that they ran out of SOHB tickets well before the first interval? Finance Freddie missed one there. That's a whole load of bottom line gone begging. That's a "Raffles 101" error. With all the shirts up for grabs, you could put your house loads more demand will be caused. You'd always want too many tickets rather than not enough, how much is the marginal costs for a few hundred more tickets? (It's probably even zero cost to Panthers (done by a sponsor?)) I wanted some but couldn't buy any by the time I wanted them. I heard tales of people buying 60...?!
