Ollie went off with what will be described as a lower body injury. Looked like ankle. Went straight down the tunnel.

Probably teaching people to suck eggs, but having been back for a little over a month after a four year hiatus, I would say the Panthers need a big nasty forward and a consistent faceoff winner. Plenty of effort but no physical pressence up front and too many mistakes. Storm's last two goals were avoidable, never got going in overtime, then coughed up the puck on the blueline.

Poor result that, threw it away really, poor defence down low on the 6 on 5. Then poor from Ryczek in OT, he got outpaced by Phillips (which I didn’t think was possible) and ended up on the wrong side. So frustrating.
Refs were diabolical as well, no surprise with Dean Smith being involved, but that doesn’t excuse how the game ended.
Again we struggled in the 2nd game of the back to back. Poor conditioning/fitness? Has the break affected us that much?
Didn’t look good for Ollie either, injury to his leg. Even without any injuries we need some additional players, we are still lacking in certain areas, and that’s been obvious since the 1st game of the season. Can we count on the management/ownership to continue backing the team?

Pretty much everybody can see it. It's so obvious. Size in the forwards doesn't just help when attacking to create space etc, it allows you to win board battles in your own zone and stop the opposition skating around in there so easy. I still don't think our D personel are a problem. As a 5 man unit defending we just don't do a good enough job.

I’ve seen 6 games so far, in which they’ve only lost once, yet I think you’re spot on. The basis of the team I feel is decent, yet there’s some components that are needed for the team to be consistently competitive. Still, I’ll be in attendance in the New Year …

Yes same issues were plain to see tonight. Storms first powerplay goal and late equaliser both came from winning face-offs in our zone and keeping the puck until they created the shooting opportunity. The winner came as Philips didn't particularly skate that fast but had the strength to keep the puck and pick his spot.
The late equaliser the puck went back to point with a Panthers forward on the Storm Dman but he didn't have the strength to force the Dman out of the zone. We are crying out for some size and physicality up front. Another season and we are too one dimensional again.

For me the panthers always seemed to try and do one more pass or one more deke than they needed and the opportunity went away quickly because storm got back or got bodies in front . We also seem to be vulnerable in our own zone we cough up the puck way too easily with lack of awareness poor passes or an attempt at the fancy blind backpasses that falls straight to their man. Is it we have too many skills guys who want to deke their way from one end to the other and not enough that keep it simple and get it out of the zone ?

Felt we started very slowly today and it took a while to get the intensity going.
Very even game but Storm probably had the better chances. We seemed to be hanging on a bit before an absolute rocket from Roy put us ahead slightly against the run of play.
Switched off at the end and left Critchlow unmarked to fire home.
Disappointing,we just don't seem to be able to hold on to a lead. We are 'in' every game which makes it so frustrating,I am worried about the festive games especially if Sheffield start to get physical.

Given how well Pacha/Black handled the aftermath of what happened, the way in which they’ve handled our return to competitive action has been poor

Feel sorry for Oliver and the reoccurring plight he is having with injury now. The worst time he has had to endure with missing games. Was an 'always' cert penned in on the game sheet for years. How long out this time?

Ryzcek looks to be carrying something to me, he was ordinary tonight when every time I've seen him he's been explosive, pace-wise. Just poor play in OT though. Use the space... The two Steelers games could be very one sided. One team can do no wrong just now, Panthers are making it look difficult in every department just now, I'm afraid. That said, what a snipe that 4th goal was.

Just seen the post match interview with JP, he looks shattered and broken. I wonder how they’re all feeling about the game in Sheffield, that will be so traumatic for them

Still doesn’t stop us signing someone to raise our compete level though, even before the tragedy we were very light weight, should of been addressed in the off season

I think we are now starting to see a fanbase more devided than ever. The extremes are rearing their ugly heads again. I'm finding both sides rather strange or over the top.
I dont have any issues discussing what's lacking on the ice, a bit of decision making and performances. Saying we lack size, need to shoot more, mistakes are costing us is all part of assessing performances.
A lot of people are forgetting rather quickly what happened though. Twitter is the worst for it(here is actually one of the most reasonable places for once). Comments such as sack the coach are ridiculous. Somebody questioning the effort levels and passion of these guys is staggering, aswell as many other silly comments. On the other side you have the "Dont dare even talk about the performance in any critical light after what happened" brigade. Even saw one person went to Sheffield last night to show them support before we play them next week, instead of being at the NIC supporting our players. 🤷♂️
I've paid out to watch my team, I want to see them competing so I will pass comment on where I think it's going wrong and whats missing, but i'm not going to start calling people out to much. Again, there is solid foundations in this team. Could probably call out 8 or 9 imports that could stay to build around next year. It's been a long time since that's happened.
I'd love to see a power forward or 2 come in and I hope we get it. I'm not going to go in to hard on the decision makers though. They've done a lot right so far(even Blacky).

He’s superb at leading the rush from defence, he didn’t seem to do that as much last night then looked heavy legged in OT. I hope he’s not carrying an injury as I think he’s a terrific player, his speed and puck carrying is a real asset to the team

I certainly wouldn't have objections to that happening.
