Really pleasant to see them back out there, it’s very low key as you’d expect, zero contact in the corners and both sides happy to play end to end. Storm goalie pulled off a worldie too! Stephen Anderson and a ref went up to him and told him off! Very much a friendly friendly tonight. I think it's what's needed though.

I heard a rumour tonight that he wont be returning and that a replacement has been lined up. I've heard from a good source if there is such thing Bjorkung willing not be returning, certainly at this time. He is understandably struggling to come to terms with what happened. Like you I've heard his replacement is signed & that he's already in the country. Possibly a European. And I've also heard we've signed a second player, who isn't yet in the country, with the plan at this stage being for both to debut v Belfast. . A every emotional night for all in the building tonight especially the players and staff. Other than the Steelers suck music which was a slight mistep for me the night was a fitting tribute to a great man and a great hockey player Forever our 47. I am glad to see Panthers are retiring his number. I've seen two jerseys/numbers retired due to untimely deaths. Hopefully I never see another.

Wouldn’t blame any of them Absoloutly. I'm very suprised so many were back on the ice so soon. To lose only 1 after all that's happened would be incredible. If the rumour is true(I must stress it's exactly that. Arena gossip, no solid source) then good luck to him in his future, wherever that takes him.

I thought Panthers got it spot on again.
A few things perhaps not they way I expected but not at all an issue. I thought we'd probably see his number retired tonight with the ceremony part of proceedings. Once it was announced it'd happen in the near future and I thought about it, it made perfect sense. Hopefully gives time to get anybody here who wants to be here for it.
I thought we'd see more of a pre season level of intensity with players gearing up for a competitive game. It wasn't that, it was probably a step above a testimonial. Again, no problem with it, it was a nice way for all to ease back it. A bit of light hearted fun.
Well done to all involved. The players for all getting out there, all behind the scenes for getting to this point and a special shout out to Ken and especially Stef. Always the toughest job on occasions like this and never fails to nail it.

I did wonder if they’ll have Adam’s family over for the shirt retirement

Credit to the club, and Manchester, for putting on the game. The video beforehand was spot on, Stef spoke well at the start, as did Carl Neill at the end.
The game was secondary of course, like Baggy says very much a friendly.

The way the whole crowd got up and started cheering as soon as Brainbug came on and the lights went down was fantastic.
The atmosphere pre game and on the 47th minute is something I'll never forget.
I'm sure his family must be so proud.

Thank you to the Cardiff Devils fans who took the time and effort to make Adam Johnson memorial game ribbons. They made 200 and were giving them out before the game. Thank you for your support

Glad I went in the end. Thought everything was respectful and not downbeat and a miserable occasion as it could have been.
Felt more of a celebration of life, and good to see supporters of several other teams in the crowd.
The hockey itself was entertaining too - not what you expect to see in the league, but good end to end stuff and there could / should have been more goals.
Massive respect to Storm for coming down for this and playing their part.
Gutted for Viktor if that’s the end for him with us. Hope that he gets through this and can get back into the sport in time.
Equally, hope our guys feel able to resume. Bit different to play in the league where the physicality will return vs last night.
Looking forward to Belfast now.

Anyone got the 'shots on goal' against Sheldon for the last period? Didn't get the Manchester team names either or their goalie TOI because I was intently listening to Nottingham's detail.
EDIT: Got the Manchester team names now and should receive the SOG (nets figures) hopefully soon.

A lovely tribute last night from everybody in that building, I’m so proud of everyone at our club and everybody at Manchester, I’m glad we have retired Adam’s number and he will certainly never be forgotten.
I have great admiration for Stef and Ken, it takes courage to do what they do, especially when there are so many emotions involved, they did a superb job as always. I can’t imagine how Carl Neill felt standing in front of 7,000+ people in attendance and all those watching online, to speak from his heart on behalf of the team, it makes me proud that he plays for our club, a captain to be proud of.
I’m proud of every single one of those players though, immensely proud
