David Levin has a Mare. On the PP, albeit a terrible one. Tries to beat a player on his own to get over the blue line, creates a Sheffield rush, he then chases back and has to give a penalty back. A time most teams would worry conceeding a penalty when ahead but Panthers just so slow and lacking intent.

And now thrown over the glass by Summers to give Steelers a 5 on 3 with 3mins 30 left. Car crash.

That's that. A disgrace as usual. Nine losses to them in a row.

Have to say though, a really poor game from both teams. We're in a different league of rubbish to most other teams who aren't from Scotland, but if that Sheffield team did somehow win the league it'd be an embarrassment for the Elite League.
We didn't forecheck at all in this one, presumably that was by design?

6-0 in the league for Sheffield. 23 goals v 10 Did you see that latest recent stat that said in the Steelers v Panthers head to head games,if Panthers were to take the lead in wins played at the house of tin they would need to win every game played there between now and 2034. Jesus Christ ! Lol 😳🤬

Another disgrace. I have lost interest in the money coining Neil Black venture and cannot be bothered to go again this season. We might even make into the last 4 play offs - but then what? I see only 2 pages for this post. Many obviously feel the same while regulars have accepted the status quo with resignation

Was Neilson’s game plan to lose? Weaker of the two NMs, include a player he called out for not putting in the effort and drop the only player who would prevent the opposition taking liberties
In the end, same merdo different day.

Yep. Debeau had a great game and Jones would have done little to change that, but thats not the point. Still had travelling fans paying to watch them compete with our biggest rivals and he doesn't put his strongest line up out. I guess he'll just rotate goalies now at a point one should be stringing games together ahead of the playoffs

Also interesting is how much are seats at the Panthers game tomorrow and how much are seats at Sheffield tomorrow.

Can somebody tell me why so many people want Cory Neilson back next season? I have no measure as to whether he is better than Gary Graham other than results, as I haven't actually been to a game for nearly four years. Purely on results his record is worse, but what does the team look like under his tenure?

The back checking effort on the first goal is so weak by our left sided D, then follows the first shooter behind the goal completely ignoring the trailing skaters or the rebound, the guy is in another realm most of the time, it baffles me how revered he is and how he’s survived 5 coaching regimes in his tenure here!

Purely on results his record is worse, but what does the team look like under his tenure? Cos he was our most successful coach at a guess. Nostalgia and all. They looked better under Corey at stages but have had some shockers. The Brits are woeful compared to other teams. This seasons team is a disgrace. GG lost them early and the way he said we would play compared to how they have is just ridiculous. Poor recruiting, poor/inexperienced brits and with only being able to make so many changes it has been a shocker since about October. No way are we spending the same as Belfast, Sheffield or Cardiff. Would love to know who are our top earners this season. Neil Black should sell the club but whilst it’s making money he won’t. The fact most people on here would only have a a couple of players back speaks volumes. But what do the club do now? Get another new coach? One with no EIHL experience? Cherno and GG were rubbish, Wallace won the mini series but over a full season wasn’t great. Need a hungry coach, good recruitment and a focus on the league. But that costs money and Neil won’t spend it. If only someone could buy him out. Just my opinion

Is this the first time that Panthers have been cleaned sweeped by Steelers in the league? If so sums up how little the so called rivalry means to the current set of players. Even in the Superleague days when we finished 8th in the league and Sheffield won everything we still turned them over a few times and I think we had the best record against them in the league.

Is this the first time that Panthers have been cleaned sweeped by Steelers in the league? I seem to remember in 2006/7 we lost all 6 (some could've been after extras), then we beat them in the PO quarters en route to winning it.

1 win out of 10 in the league and cup against them, 1 out of 12 including pre-season games😂
I class myself as a passionate fan, but even I can’t wait for this season to end, even in the past seasons when we’ve been poor you still saw some fight and emotion on the ice, that’s seemingly been sucked out of hockey from the top down.
Black needs to commit to the club, the same way that other owners have, or he has to sell. Fans don’t expect to win every single game but this season and the last have taken their toll

Purely on results his record is worse, but what does the team look like under his tenure? Damn good question. His record with this team is as bad as GG’s, Neilson had ten years of trying to win the league and managed it once in the era when the Steelers and Devils were both still in a mess and in all the other years he didn’t even make a challenge for it. And that was in the time where he had a big advantage of no wage cap to level the playing field,so god help him now there is a cap if he’s back next year. He rightly got sacked, went abroad and did virtually nothing with all the various Euro teams he coached. Since the lazy appointment to bring him back he’s seemed disinterested and even with his trusty assistant coach by his side and several new signings he still hasn’t made any difference to this years team. Yep,why on earth would anybody want Neilson back, he’s stale, dull and full of excuses.

That season record is just atrocious, I feel sorry for those still paying good money to follow this team up to the house of tin.
Over the past few years or so, my disenchantment with panthers has grown to the point that I now think of the organisation through this analogy:
Some landlords buy property and want to make it as good as it possibly can be, they invest and put money in and hope to maximise the yield through the quality on show and the experience they provide. Others buy a house that they can put as little into as possible, just enough to keep it ticking over and keep the tenants paying rent. If something breaks, they show up and say it'll be fixed, but usually the fix is done by someone who does things on the cheap, or someone just happy to have the job. But the landlord doesn't care as long as some money is coming in for relatively little effort.

And in August we all had such high hopes. And after the first period of the first pre season game vs Steelers. Immensely frustrating.

Well people need to realise that next season won't be any better until big things change.. panthers will be a 6th/7th placed team at best again.

I often wonder how many of those fans who were regulars in the old Ice Stadium still attend today? Their thoughts on the current situation would be interesting. For myself I remember feeling optomistic for a new era with a successful team moving forward. Where the Panthers are now and the previous seasons is to say the least, disappointing.
