The Grapes Count :- Stars 1 : Panthers 3. Lots of home pressure but think Panthers will return home with the points.

2 changes. Debeau for Jones. Lindgren for Levin. Not 1 line or D pair remains the same. Surely at this point in the season he needs to justvsettle some bits down and let it ride to the end of the season. A bit of chemistry would at least help going in to the play offs. We may have very little chance of winning it but surely coach should be doing all he can.

How far the Panthers have fallen as an ice hockey and sports club should be an acute embarrasement to all involved.
Still as long as a profit is acheived..

People standing up and clapping Panthers back on to the ice for the start of the 2nd period. Really? You're easily satisfied and entertained lol

Corey called him out when he didnt play at home, what happened tonight? Was medically cleared to play against Sheffield but refused to due to pain which Neilson was furious about. Tonight was his first game back since Sheffield and Neilson told him he was done for night at the end of the 2nd. Called him out in his post game interview as someone who isn’t willing to give 100% for the club. As far as I’m concerned he’s essentially quit on his teammates, coach and fans and shouldn’t be given the opportunity to do it for a 3rd time

Certainly not to this level so im inclined to side with him on this. We do though have to be careful as we are only getting one side of the story. Maybe he genuinely is in more pain than he is happy to play in. Maybe he didn't feel good enough to go tonight but Corey backed him in to a corner. Regardless though, Corey has clearly had enough. Gas him, pay him what he is owed if we have to, then give Archie the slot to see out the season.

You have to wonder what his teammates think of him because playing through pain and sometimes a lot worse is quite common in hockey and if he truly couldn’t play against Sheffield due to pain then you’d have question why the medical team cleared him to play

If he was not good enough, or willing to play then by all means get rid, although he cant be replaced with another. There has been a lot of comments that CN is having to work with a team that he didnt sign and was making the best of it. Two things, Lindgren was his signing so onus is his; also, he has been coaching them for several months and from the interview he seems to say that they are no better. So what has been going on?

Seems Corey is saying I've had enough with this group of players. I have tried to coach them and improve them but they are just bad. Might explain why Lindgren was available in the first place. He is not a good team player.
Think that's 4 lots of quarter final money kept in my pocket as I don't expect anything from this group of players.

While Lindgren is a Neilson signing I think it’s harsh to blame him unless this type of issue was highlighted in his references and I suspect it wasn’t given how furious Neilson has been with his behaviour/attitude. Also while Neilson does have to take some portion of the blame for our poor form this roster has now not performed for two completely different coaches and Neilson even highlighted it in his interview the drastic difference between how they play in practice and how they play in a real game

That suggests to me that not only is either coach not that great but that the problem is far deeper than just the coach. I want to hear Omar and Blacks take on the badly underperforming hockey side of things because the pair of them publicly seem to be just sitting back doing nothing.

Corey cannot use the excuse that he didn't sign this team.
When in Germany the GM of his DEL2 team signed the players not Corey. So he should be used to that scenario.
Corey knew what he was walking into when he came back here, al9ng with all the off ice distractions that linger around the players.
No wonder the players struggle to remain focused.
Until the club prioritises on ice performance over what cerain sponsors want this club will never develop the Winning mentality Omar allegedly wants.
We must be the only club where management backs a sponsor over what the then coach wants, simply because of Money...
Panthers are professional... yeah okay..
Heaven forbid a situation could occur this season where the coach cancels the players day off because he is unhappy with their ollective performance.
Yet some players refuse to go in for training that day and instead clear off to London...
Of course this would never happen...

This “other team with 6 new players” isn’t exactly accurate as Levin and Ricci were both GG signings and Lahtinen/Izacky have only been here for around 4 of the 16 weeks Neilson has been here so to act like Neilson has had half a new team is unfair. Ultimately while the core of this roster remains whoever is in charge would fail to turn this team around
