In fairness, he had 6 to start. Moore managed to get hit by a puck on the bench I think (?) and never returned.

We had another Brit spot available in the match night squad, so we could have played Hopkins or Hazeldine tonight but chose not to. Hindsight is a good thing but starting the game with 7 dmen would have helped

It’s not unusual to lose a player in a game.

Of course, but if we were picking the 20th player I'd imagine 99 out of 100 would've picked Hopkins over Hazeldine to have complete lines, and we'd still end up down to 5 defencemen when Moore gets injured. I'll give GG that that was a bit of bad luck.
Obviously we should've had one of them in there, I don't get that at all. I assume we're the senior partner in these two-way deals, so it's a deliberate decision by GG?

I assume we're the senior partner in these two-way deals, so it's a deliberate decision by GG? Well we were told we were the senior team is both these deals. Hopkins in particular is as he was originally signed with us full time. That changed when Hazeldine came in at the back to cover Caruso originally I believe. Fair enough, ensuring he gets game time is a good thing, but we've seen this time and time again with these 2 way deals. A few different things could be happening here. The deal isn't as simple as they stated and we cant simply take when we want. The player is dictating where he plays. Enjoying a role with more ice time and responsibility. The Coach has said he doesn't really need, or intend to use him. Apparently these 2 way players are suposed to train with Panthers all week too. I have no idea if that is true, but I have my doubts. You'd think if Jack was here and GG knew his back 6 already thenche wouldn't travel away at the end of the week. Jack could be another top talent we let slip through our fingers because he doesn't get the required ice time or play the role that suits him. Just look at Joseph Hazeldine. He's quickly shown what we missed out on. Wouldn't mind seeing the 2 brothers as regulars on Panthers D for years to come.

Did Anderson play last night ? Panthers OS and twitter post about the line up said only Dubeau missing, but I didnt see Anderson. Even though he's mostly ineffective, I do spot him buzzing about when he's playing. Unlike Puffer

Oh yes you mean the “Panthers Podcast” that’s all about... errr Guildford ! 🙄 About time some home truths were said and some tough questions asked instead of all this avoiding the elephant in the room. It’s like listening to TCW only with a different cast sitting on the fence !

Oooh could be a change coming this week methinks. Not that simple. We are carrying a spare. With Lagrone back in an import forward had to drop out. Or perhaps I should've said more simple than what you said. I have man flu so I jave no idea. 😂 Levin came in when Caruso was out injured.

I’m also sick to death of Brassard. He’s been an absolute liability. I’ve lost count of the amount of goals we’ve conceded that he’s been directly responsible for A week or two ago I said he had credit in the bank as he'd proved how good he coukd be last season. I think that credit has now about run out. I’m shocked at how he was even able to build up credit in the first place, Brassard has always been a defensive liability (admittedly this season he’s taken it to a new level) but just because he was able to pump his numbers up against the lower teams last season the rest of his game seems to have gone unnoticed

Brassard looked amazing at times but you are correct when I think about it. He was decent on a poor team and even then he wasn't that great at doing his main role

Even if he is on one though that shouldn’t make him immune from getting fired. Uni course or not I cannot imagine the likes of Steelers and Devils carrying such a liability without doing something about it !

I can’t recall them mentioning it when we signed him last season or when he resigned this season. Graham has got to change something though, otherwise we’re not going to get away from this inconsistency no matter how much coaching he gives

A big strong Dman with a very good +- rating. Who even when he came down with Clan still looked good.
