First line is pretty nailed on, I think Myers and Hopkins are settled on the 4th line.
Sorenson got 2 goals this weekend so maybe he won't tinker with him too much. For me, it's just finding a way to get Ferrara firing and maybe Welsh too.

Looks like he's happy with that first line hey. Looks to be some chemistry there Yes, the Hammond line clicked immediately really, they've looked good both times I've seen them. The Myers line looked good on Saturday too, Hopkins and Kelsall don't look out of place. The other two don't quite seem to have the cohesion yet, but in fairness both got a goal. I think that's just a time thing. When Ferrara and Johnston were at Coventry together, I presume they were linemates then? Does anyone remember who the third cog was? Just wondering if it was a specific type.

I always remember the 2012/13 season when most of us were calling for Ling and Graham to get the sack, right the way up to mid-October. Since then, I've always been happy to see how things pan out for that month/month and a half and make a fair judgement then. Don't forget Gallivan as well and I bet Tex was one of them 🤦 You have no idea about my views, then or now unless of course you ask me instead of making assumptions based on a single line of text "so... to be clear, now the season has started proper the only team panthers beat pre season we have lost in the first week to?" This is a statement of fact, i.e. what has actually happened.. Think alot of the optimism that the team are worth watching needs to be proven by the club and very quickly otherwise we may as well declare it a 2 horse race now and save the money for energy bills.. This is a statement of expectation knowing how angered the fanbase has been having been taken for a ride for several years now with a vacuous and frankly facetious comment to end to emphasise a point. My own personal view since you asked, wait you didnt? oh well here goes anyway... I think we have a better management structure than ever before and what appeared to be a better team however having seen them play, i believe alot of work is needed on the special teams for starters, the team doesnt at the moment appear to have enough toughness and the team, like last season seems to have too many similar players meaning that we are having to fit square pegs in round holes.. For example we dont have a quarterback type role to control the play from point, we dont seem to have a "power forward" who can muscle in and win pucks in the Offence zone, we dont seem to have a defender who can shoot from point and we have no muscle to back up 75 and talking of which there is no obvious irritant on the team to put opposition players off.. On a positive note we have alot of faceoff winners which has been pleasant to see for a change.

Why can’t people have a opinion on the team? Instead of looking at stats I actually watched the team play and feel like we have several holes in our team. Why should we have to blindly say that we are great?

One thing many people don’t seem to be taking into account is the amount of change this team has had this summer. We only have 4 returning full time player from last season in a squad of 20. Welsh, Brassard, Myers and Kelsall with a brand new coach to the league so it’s hardly surprising it’s taking a little longer to gel the Cardiff for example who have only made 7 changes to last season and 3 of those have played in Cardiff in year’s previous or Belfast who have 10 returning players with a coach who has been there for years. Some patience will be needed while we get through these teething problems which I appreciate isn’t an abundant quality among the Panthers fanbase

Why should we have to blindly say that we are great? The new age which has largely been bred on social media. You are only allowed to be in 1 box or the other. 1 extreme to the other. A balanced opinion and people from both boxes want to put you in the other. This forum is so dead for 2 reasons. The art of reasoned debate has been lost, and 2 posters dragging it down with constant negativity. One of whom is now shooting anybody down who shows a glimse of critisism. I certainly aplaud Pidges change in attitude, I really do, but please Pidge, show more understanding rather than just antagonising for the sake of it. You've spent enough time being negative and watched enough hockey to know the more balanced reviews with critisisms of the team are reasonable.

Doesn’t mean I can’t criticise the team. No one is going to far(calling for players to be sacked) but just feel like the makeup off our team is wrong. It also certainly isn’t as advertised when GG came in.

How this game only had 3 goals in I’ll never know. Good goal tending and poor finishing on some occasions

It also fair to say that the make up of our team could be questioned. The loss of Hunt has changed that Welychka was brought in from GG’s past experiences of playing against him and being impressed and so far he is one of brightest sparks there. I was also unsure of the defensive makeup too. I thought the last Dman should have been a big, strong player in the mould of Jason Beckett and we got Lagrone whose about 5”7. If not that then a proper quarterback for the power play. Still I am comfortable that management know what they’re doing optimistic that they will get it right

Of course I haven’t seen him play yet, I am basing this solely on what I was told by GG.

Just because you have done an about turn regarding all matters relating to the club does not necessarily mean others have to agree with you..

You’ve gone completely from one extreme to the other, from very loyal fan to major critic and back to accepting no criticism of the team whatsoever again. Everybody acknowledges they’ve changed off ice but on ice wise there’s been lots of excellent talking, however so far there’s not much to suggest the team is that good. People are just expressing their opinion,we’re not seeing any real criticism....yet.
