Do you have knowledge of the Danish league? Genuine question open to anyone. How comparable is it to the EIHL? It's hard to truly compare, as they only permit half the number of imports we do, and many more of their best home-grown players move onto Finland/Sweden or North America soon after going pro. With our extra imports, it's probably even. Play at their import limit, and it's easy street for the Danish side. |

Puffer himself doesn't look a bad player but the forward lines are starting to come together now. He makes number 7 and the best guess from most at the moment is that the last outskating Brit will be a forward. That leaves 4 import slots.
For me those signings make or break this roster.
At this point last season we appeared to be looking fairly strong with most largely expecting the best to be coming in last. That quality never materialised. We still need some real quality to ensure our top 6 stack up with the top 3 and also that power forward, enforcer type. We've yet to see anybody come in with the type of game GG described in his early interviews.
There have been hints perhaps that there may still be some returnees from last year. I dont think we can afford any now. Perhaps even on size alone.
With this signing we are starting to look really small again too.
Kelsall 5ft 9
Puffer 5ft 9
Sorensen 5ft 9
Hopkins 5ft 11
Fererra 5ft 11
Myers 6ft 2
Welsh 6ft 3
It was one of the key issues highlighted from the fanbase with last years team. There may be some better quality but we cannot afford to be that small again. So far I think we are probably smaller on average.
I will never right a single player off before I see them play and I certainly wont decide on a roster until it's complete. Just my observations at this point. Here's hoping it all comes together nicely.

We’re already looking like we’ll have plenty more firepower than last season. Puffer looks like he’ll bring more than Baillargeon/Lane/Domingue and probably Boivin and Carozza too. Sorensen is the wow signing for me as of now though. He could potentially be at the top of the league points chart

Size ain't a issue if you have players who put themselves about and play bigger than they are . The power forward/physical types will come for the bottom 2 lines ..
This team is looking far better than last year's already

Glad to have Puffer on board, he will hopefully bring some decent firepower to us this season. I can see him slotting into the top 6 nicely, I’d probably argue that he will be in the spot of Boivin and that he won’t be returning.

I would agree we need to add a bit of size but we've heard how GG builds his teams and how he likes them to play, so I'm optimistic that the smaller players on our team will play with grit. |
