That will happen to Fife tonight if Guildford win. Guildford won, surely it makes financial sense for Fife to save some wages and surely a deal can be made It wouldn’t make sense for Blacky no doubt !

Good on Dundee for respecting the code(Remember when Simmsy spouted that garbage?), easing off and not embarrassing Panthers. Shame Coventry didn't do the same. Apparently it’s only a code in the oppositions own building. Allegedly. 🤣

Just read the game report on the OS. Comments about familiar failings so not blaming Kerlin specifically but the team in general, which makes sense. However, surely their should be some sort of official comment from DoH or Management, along the lines of it's not acceptable for the team to ship 24 goals in three games at such a critical stage of the season, and to apologise for such performances. Silence implies 'we know we've lost, we don't have to spell out its due to injuries and poor goal tending'. I'm not a cynical sort when it comes to Panthers, I believe (hope) everyone is doing the best they can but I do need...something to give me a reason to turn up on Sunday. And I don't mean a get together at Annies !

And I don't mean a get together at Annies ! Come to expect nothing else from Panther's back room but it's a bit disappointing that it's going to be more of the same even now with the changes. You can blame Kerlin, he isn't an EIHL starter, he's a backup and I can't believe a 2022 arena team can still be doing what was normal in 2010. The other arena teams must look at the Panthers and wonder what the hell they are up to even with the sheer lack of ambition.

The people running the club shouldn’t be. They’re being setup to fail.
Dan said on twitter, it’s breaking him which I’m not surprised at - he’s doing too much and only found out at 3pm that he was on commentary duty on Sunday. How ridiculous is that.
We lost GM which was massive and the club haven’t replaced him which isn’t good. Don’t think we fully knew how much he did.
GD recruited a poor team and shouldn’t have sacked TW.
NB is silent and it’ll be the same till he pi$$es off. But as long as he’s making money he won’t.
Oh for Kelman to be here. But Black won’t do that and he clearly doesn’t give a flying you know what about the fans/club. The communication is terrible unless it’s a special shirt or quiz night.
Worst time I’ve known at the club in the 25 years I’ve been going. Oh for some sexy neilson hockey

Anyone know our record for goals conceded in a single season in the EIHL era?
Because right now with 174 there's only Manchester in the league who've conceded more.
The post game video comment about "not putting a lot of effort in defensively *at times*" spoke volumes to me. It's almost like calling out certain players effort levels as it was compared to "at other times"? Hard not to watch that and read resignation into it sadly

You'd need to pro rata it I think, but in 18/19 we let in 181 in 60 games. With 4 games left we'll probably clear that in 54 this year though.

At this rate they’ll clear about 190 in 54 games.

Yes, we're well on course for this to be our worst ever Elite League season. From what I can see it'll be only the second time we've returned a negative goal difference, but a worse effort than that was (2016/17 -6 from 52 games, currently -32).
For a pro rated 54 game season we're on course for a worst-ever approximately 188 against, 153 scored, -35. Given the netminding situation that could get a lot worse.

Meanwhile in exactly the same economic scenario and current financial climate.......in Sheffield there are huge hockey crowds There is only one reason for Panthers failures, troubles and shortcomings and that is Neil Black !

It's all a bit Mack Sennett. Completely taken in by the last mini-season where they didn't even hear the gun firing let alone see the bullet coming. (Personally, I think) very poor backroom staff recruiting, a DOH who is staggeringly incompetent, a team budget WAY under the other arena teams, and more disappointed fans than I've ever seen in well over a decade of watching the Panthers and crowds smaller than I would have ever believed before seeing it happen. I don't see much of a win on any level here and I really don't understand why it's been done because it has been done completely deliberately.
