For the princely sum of £120, you can get: - Access to Bar 1946 at all games
- 5% off all drinks
- Access via the Hospitality entrance (oooh fancy!)
- Priority to Panthers ticketed events (quiz nights, shirt launches, etc...)
- Upgrade options for pre-match meals
So in order to recoup the value of this card in drink discounts, you just need to spend £2,280 on drinks. That's a lot of pints per game! Although maybe I'm not appreciating the full value of the fancy hospitality entrance so I don't have to enter the arena with the riff raff.... who I then sit with for 2+hours anyway? I had to check the time of the announcement but it seems to have come out after Midday. Interestingly, it seems to be an Arena specific thing and Panthers haven't mentioned it anywhere I can see on social media or the website. Maybe they are aware that it's an absolute trainwreck of a scheme....

For the benefits that are offered for this “card” it os nothing more than a rip off.
However as with most things there will be enough chumps that sign up so it’ll be a worthwhile exercise.
In a bizarre way I admire the arena for trying to hook people in especially this new breed of jersey obsessed folk who are fighting their way in queues to get the 1518171st version of a jersey per season so they’ll be want to be one of those to get one of these “special” 46 jerseys.

There will no doubt be people out there to whom the mention of VIP gives them chance to exercise their wealth. Like ordering the most expensive wine in a restaurant, and announcing as such when they order. Its not the value for money that counts,it's the status.

This 1946 bar is at the end of the concourse round at block 19. (Did it used to be called the directors bar?)
But, over the last few home games it has been opened up and anybody can go in it, for free, and it still hasn’t been very busy.
These perks that are listed should be part of your standard season ticket package, that would help to draw in more ST holders and show some signs of appreciation.
It looks like the arena are out of touch with their customers as well then.

It's not the worst value in the world for the first 46. You get an "exclusive" shirt (we'll see whta that looks like before I comment too much, but could be anything from a T-shirt to a game quality replica) and a few perks. One assumes the 1946 Bar is going to be restricted admission, and thus quicker serving? For the 47th person onwards, any value falls off a cliff, without the shirt. One assumes you can ask which number you're going to be...

Used in the season (last decade) my sister gained Panthers charity support for Cystic Fibrosis Will they let you know in advance if your 46 and under or not?

I'd be amazed if anyone who does actually want to pay 120 quid for this isn't in the top 46.
Or top 4 to 6 for that matter.

The way this season is ending it should be a Black and Blue Card.

Just when you think they can't cheapen the deal anymore........They do. It's like a really bad comedy spoof, about a club that is run so appallingly it could only be fiction. If only.

Yet the Giants have the cheapest ST in the league can be paid off over 12 months, covers all League and CC, 10% discount on all food and drink, exclusive ST holder entrance door, a free thank you jersey for fans, 10% discount on other things in the Odyssey Pavillion including the interactive science center W5, multiple bring a friend or family member for free nights and they’ve a brand new 1.2 million pound bar called Off Ice open for everyone.
You have to laugh.

You have to laugh. It’s some deal that. Just makes you wonder,if the Giants can offer all that and yet always put a very good competitive team on the ice every year whilst still remaining solvent on pretty average crowds then... How much money is Neil Black making on bigger crowds or Tony Smith making on far far bigger crowds ? And yet they would have you believe there’s no money to be made in British ice hockey. Next year Mr Black had better find a way to turn things around on and off the ice or he’s going to be in trouble, but he won’t achieve it unless he drastically changes both his outlook and his business model.

I'm sure they'll get a little cut of the money for association with it, but they didn't appear to promote this at all.

The original Tweet by the Arena has now been deleted, so hopefully this utterly ridiculous idea has been kicked into touch.

I was waiting for them to announce one of the benefits being priority for play off tickets. Then it would've been a real wee wee take as well as ridiculous. Wouldn't have put it past them. As you say, hopefully it's done with.
