Great game, best of the season by a mile,we kept up the intensity for the entire game and although physically mismatched we tried play the body and match them in that department.
Just a shame we have nobody to match up to the likes of Louis although got to praise Richards for trying!
That game had the edge I've missed most of this season, but again why do we so do well against Cardiff at home so often!

As already said, this was the performance of the season, so far. The style we played was so different to recent, with us going for the body from the start. We finished our checks the whole game (not bad for our 3rd game in 3 nights) Our approach play was to drive into the opposition zone in a more direct fashion, and not by simply playing it into the corners and chasing it in, invariably being second to the puck. We hustled Cardiff when they were on the puck and broke up their plays very well. The energy was surprising. We also drove the net, which upset Carruth and his D. What prompted this change in play? Could it have been our new coach? We will only know come Wednesday

Really enjoyed that. My first game since pre-pandemic. Won every battle today.

Not a bad performance against a team that could hold its own against a NHL side.

Pidge,2 points for the weekend, dead on. He won't be on tonight, neither him or his comrade. They don't do Panthers victory.

That had to be the best they played all season; a gutsy team perfomance. Why? embarrassed from their game the night before? Heard reports that Whistle kept them in the dressing room an hour after saturdays game, hopefully to give them the mother of all rollockings. The have showed they can play like that so should be doing from every game now on.
We dont' have a team with a fighter or who play rough and because sewell let stuff go, carduff upped the goonery and that led to the incidents. Richards driving to the net gets caught on a stick on the ice, incidently a divvils one, and falls over, so louise has a go, I dont think Richards knew who was on top of him when he hit back, but soon did; right decision to toss louise out and he should be looking at a rest to reflect on why he is 6 foot 4 and none of it brain. When things don't go their way carduff are a mardy team (as are belfast) and I think they expected to come in and stroll to an easy victory.
Was not surprised to see the negative comments from the usual suspects who are like the wardorf and statler of the forum. Obviously couldn't find any criticism from last nights game from twitter, FB, etc. so just resort to the same old, same old. Supporters? no; fans? questionable.

Interesting point, Robbie. The last few games the Panthers' body language has been poor, IMHO, from what I can see. Maybe a rocket was what they needed. It's hard to go from "fellow player and teammate" to coach, especially when the season is half done already. Whistle doesn't have that baggage.
Louis ought to be looking at a lengthy ban. "Fighting" an unwilling opponent, resisting an official? From a player just returned from suspension for a second time this season. How often do you see a one sided fighting major called?

You would think Louis will get some kind of ban for his actions. He completely lost control and as has been mentioned above, over nothing And yet Richards threw the first punches, before that they were both rolling on the ice, Richards is a feisty player but started something last night that he couldn’t finish. But the better team on the night won the game

But the better team on the night won the game Richards was on his back and had two Devils players dive on top of him, what's he supposed to do let them hit him first? Cardiff were taking liberties because they know we have no toughness at all, just a shame we don't have anybody go physically match up to the likes of Louis.

Looking at the league table that last night probably cost the Devils a lot. The way they came apart like a cheap watch surprised me. They really lost the plot.

But the better team on the night won the game Richards didn't hold back in the initial roughing element so wasn't blameless in a usuall altercation. Louis will be in trouble for the punches thrown around the officials, multiple times, well after they'd stepped in to stop it.

They have/had to win every game to stand a chance of catching Sheffield. To lose to someone outside the top teams was a blow, especially so meekly.

Spot on, last night was a incredibly frustrating game, and a very poor performance especially after the showing the night before. To see the whole team not turning up, and that’s no disrespect to Panthers who can only beat what’s in front of them, was really hard to take. So it looks like we will end up where we probably should be, that’s in 3rd place, still a chance of 2nd but that would be very best, with Steelers and Giants still having to face each other 5 more times anything can happen.

I don't like playing the 'called it' game but I was pretty correct on you guys pre season. I'd expect you to put up a far far stronger title challenge next season. One year wiser coach & some settled returnees no doubt.

Seems about right in my view. He knew what he was doing throwing punches around/over the linesman.

Seems about right in my view. He knew what he was doing throwing punches around/over the linesman. Quite lenient IMHO. Dangerous punches to both the player (unwilling and undefended) and official (a left especially nearly catches the linesman). 4 games would've been more appropriate. His third suspension this season.

The ban was inevitable, only the severity could be questioned. Fortunately for Cardiff the dice landed on a low number.
