Out fought, out thought, out muscled. No offence. Carr didn't deserve to finish on the losing side.

I was just being rather sarcastic from tonight's result (bet you knew too) but I will leave it because I'd not be able to change my betting slip ordinarily. My heart sinks when I look at the other results and see hoe Steelers as a big example do enough, not that I should compare us with them now.

The Steelers and Panthers are incomparable these days.

I actually thought we played pretty well tonight and were unlucky to lose.
Usual problems though of not being clinical in front of goal despite the large amount of possession we had.
Carr had a tremendous game, his move when he came racing out the goal was the highlight for me.
Also good to see the arena with a decent crowd even if some might be free, made a big difference to the atmosphere. Funny what happens when we have a Saturday night game as well unlike these numerous Sundays afternoon fixtures we keep having!

I think it’s easy to confuse played with a lot of effort with played well. If our teams of previous seasons played with the same effort as these guys we would have got bored with winning the league by now. The truth is that our forwards are completely shut down by a big defence. A defender scored our one goal and our forwards missed passes and were shut down all night.

Lot of effort from the forwards but as usual this year no really good chances and a very poor powerplay. First job for Whistle is to sort the powerplay out.

I can’t remember a single time tonight where we worked the puck into the slot and had a shot on goal.

The powerplay with Welsh and Boivin has been firing of late but that was with Lane on it. Hedberg has now taken his place on it and it looks disjointed again.

Very frustrating night, I thought we deserved the win but our lack of quality up front remains evident. I have to say though, the refs were very poor tonight, a clean hit from Kelsall with a couple of minutes to go called as charging, illegal equipment not called on the Clan, trip on Boivin in OT not called.
Glasgow are a frustrating team, they’ve come into the NIC and played 3 great road games, they’ve played simple and responsible, kept us to the outside and got 3 victories. In the 2 games in Breahead though, where the emphasis has been on Glasgow to be a bit more offensive, we’ve won comfortably, very strange.

By some miracle we will finish 4th. Beat the 5th placed team and make the playoffs weekend. Then, we'll get embarrassed to an even bigger extent than we did against Cardiff the last time there was a real playoff weekend . That game was the first and only time that I left a Panthers game and gave my seat to someone who wanted to suffer more than I did.Spent the rest of the day in the Legend, best decision I ever made

I recall a key game v Murrayfield back in the mists of time, whenever the great Tony Hand came on the ice, a certain Randall Weber was detailed to follow him all over the ice and ensure he had little effect on the play. Although he's not in the Hand class, Mathieu Roy continues to make something happen whenever he's on the ice. Pity that no-one on Panthers bench noticed that and kept an eye on him.

Randell often kept Tony Hand quiet by man marking him and having the skills to do it. We don't have anyone who can do that these days and coaches who seem to know it needs doing on players like Roy.

Pi55 poor officiating did for us. Clan player stopping to pick up his helmet not called, the trip in OT where clan went up the other end and scored not called. Aside from the high stick on Lane, which could be offset by the same on a clan player 'not 'seen' shortly after. That aside, you cann rely on your best player to score the goals when he is a defenceman. Lots of effort but no result could sum up this game, when on the PP you are not going to score if you enter the zone and make 20 passes to one another without taking a shot until 3/4 of the PP has gone and then shoot it straight at the NM.
One I will say, which you wouldnt have got by following on twitter or waiting for the highlights on you tube for those that dont attend, but still post critical comments is that the atmosphere was great, it was saturday night, the crowd was much increased and loud.
