Decentish game, hopefully a two goal advantage will be enough.
Never 3,266 there, around 2,000 I’d say. Mr Black is reaping what he sows and fans are clearly voting with their feet and leaving in droves. Totally understandable considering the last couple of months.
Having said that it is very sad to see the arena that empty for a game and I don’t understand why some seem to take such great delight in it.

I’d say there was probably about 2,500 in attendance tonight, which is understandable, Tuesday after playing Sunday plus I don’t think the club did a good job of advertising that it was an owed game from 19/20.
In regards to the game, good to get another win, you can only beat what’s in front of you and I thought we deserved it. It would have been nice to get a 5th goal on the powerplay at the end but we just couldn’t clinch it. Richards seems to be improving with each game that goes by, pleased he picked up 2 goals tonight, really like what he brings. I think him, Lane and Baillargeon look to have found a bit of chemistry which is good.
We’ve been fortunate to have had these 3 games since sacking Wallace. We are still missing some quality though, if Lee is going to be out for the remainder of the season then I think it’s vital we get a solid dman in and we still need something extra up front as well I believe.
Pleased to get the victory tonight, hopefully we can see it through in Guildford. The three wins in a row should give the team some confidence into the Scottish triple header this weekend.

You don’t think by any minuscule chance that they perhaps waited until there were a few easier games on the horizon before sacking Wallace do you. That’s exactly what one of my first thoughts was when they sacked him. Who’s next ? Oh yes,Clan,Fife and Dundee. Mmmm 😉

Unless black is driving us into the ground like Scott Neil did up in Edinburgh

They would never sack Wallace before games against Sheffield Belfast and Cardiff eh 😉🤣

A view from someone there. On the whole they played well, Richards and Baillargeon particually, Boivin has the skills but his size is against him unless he can use his speed. Well taken goals, but still the lapse in concentration that allows the opposition to score, it's as if the D and Carr takwe a time out for a shift or two and then concede a couple of goals and they are back in the room.
Can they keep it up? If they play like they did last night then I think they will progress.

The crowd got bigger after those photos were taken. There were loads of people that missed the face off because of problems with the scanners and people's season tickets. They had to queue at the box office to get paper tickets

Not sure it's the only reason for a Tuesday night, early January 2022 game vs Guildford to be sparsely attended, but 100% agree that an empty arena isn't a good thing. Whether any of this will charge any thinking at the club in the short or longer term, who knows?

I'm not sure he's the hardest worker out there, and not the best skillset all told, but he's racking up points whilst being (statistically at least) defensively responsible. (29GP, 12 goals (team leading) + 14 assists (joint second), team leading +8, in all games.) Just shows what I know. Long may it continue.

The reason that the arena is emptying is because of NBs continual strive for maximum profit at any cost and I feel let down like many others who are or were long time season ticket holders. It’s the hardest working team I’ve seen for years but we are missing a top line. On top of that even the off ice staff looks like it’s being filled on a tight budget and it looks like things are going back to the early arena days. NB and partners have made a LOT of money from the Panthers over the years and then we are told that it’s the fans fault for the team budget as it’s worked on on a percentage of the previous years gate receipts. God knows who he’s going to have Doucet sign next season. If NB is going short of cash cows, tough, he’s engineered the entire situation. I take no pleasure watching the slow demise of the Panthers but I would take HUGE pleasure in seeing the back of NB.

Like you, I too would be glad to see a new owner at the club.

I wasn't at Sunday's game but people who were tell me that the official attendance of 3,688 was very much over-exaggerated as well. Worrying times.

Almost like someone is bleeding the team dry before ditching it because this certainly isn't good business.

Be interesting to see the attendance Steelers get tonight for their CC quarter final against Fife, all tickets are £8.00 for this game. Then again Panthers last night was a season ticket game, albeit one owed from last year.

He reminds me a bit of a less physical and skilled Chris Lawrence. He had one of his better games last night I felt.

Doesn’t play with the energy that we’d all like but, as you say, he’s picking up the points. Lovely finish for his 1st yesterday though. I’m glad you’re on the ball with the stats Bob, he’s gained a goal that should be credited to Matheson, but, from viewing highlights this season he’s owed 5 assists in the league! He should be recorded as 20GP - 7G + 12A in the league! Not sure what’s going off with the EIHL statisticians this season.
