3688 according to gamesheet which is probably the lowest league attendance this season. I should be there but I've not been well (non covid) so no idea if they've counted my season ticket or not! 4 point weekend...I need a lie down 3688 must have counted staff too. As predicted NB has managed to kill the golden goose. Good stuff hopefully it gets even lower.. anything which hurts black is good for me

Well they win and make it a four point weekend and the thread barely makes two pages. Is that because there is nothing for the non attending detractors to complain about?
My view was that, in some respects, they were lucky to get a win. Fife were playing their third game in 3 days and still had some in the tank for the first part of the game but had a game plan and it was working. Considering the 'coaches' are both Dmen, our defence is still iffy, but then both can / could be found being deep in the offensive zone so getting caught on a breakaway is a high possiblity. Apart from that I thought we played better and having Domingue back was a boost.
Still a win is a win. Dont get the love in for Tousignant, he scored an empty netter and was cheered like an all conquoring hero, apart from that he did very little.

Perhaps more because both wins were uninspiring. Just about scraping through against a couple of teams that aren't exactly playing great themselves

The pass to Ollie for the first goal was perfect as well. He's probably one of the few players this season to perform to expectations.

Agreed, he’s not a top 6 forward but he’s been asked to play that role for the majority of the season. He’s an agitator, put him on the 3rd or 4th line and he’s effective, he’s also our joint top goal scorer in the league so far. Like you say, that pass for Ollie’s goal was lovely.

I wasn't overly "happy" about his re-signing, but he's brought it in spades, to be fair. Not a fighter at all, but then neither was "King of the agitators" Sacratini, but he must be a pain to play against. He had a torrid time over Christmas, though, I have him as a team leading -9 in the 5 games between 26 Dec and 3 Jan. And he was +1 in the Boxing Day game.* Happy to be proved wrong in this case, he's one of the few who have perhaps (to my mind) over-, rather than under-, performed my personal expectations.
*Interestingly, only 1 "regular" player was better than a net -3 in that run of 5 games. Matt Lane ended it as the only net + player, at +2 for the 5 games. Only on ice for 2 goals against of the 23, and on ice for 5 of the 11 scored. A very interesting nugget, I think.

But if Tousignant is being asked to play top line then he’s presumably playing against good players on the opposition top lines when really he shouldn’t be higher than Panthers third line. He’s also playing with at least one or even two linemates who also aren’t top line quality so it’s not really surprising if Tousignant has a poor plus/minus against his name.

Exactly Lol, it's not that simple, though, is it? For example... I'm pretty sure the Panthers "top line" just now would include Welsh, who Tousignant has barely played with all year. So how come Lane (not exactly most people's flavour of the month) was so good over that period? Did he play really well on his own? Have you got all the match ups for the goals against Tousignant? (i.e. were all the goals he conceded against "top line" players from other teams, as you assert?)

Lane is the hardest working player on the team and I’m looking forward to what he can do when his injured line mate is finally back

Sorry, just quoted the person who 100% agreed with the person who said it, and didn't want to quote twice. I've had a quiet word with myself, and I'll do better next time.

It could be,but then it could be that a lot of the happy clappers have seen the light. We were all happy clappers once, even me,there was a time I would have done just about anything for that club and I pretty much did too. But you gradually see what’s happening, get kicked a few times like we did and when you eventually give up and step back you can see clear as day what a fool you were for getting sucked in.

Yup same here.. I've spent more money than I care to remember on that team traveling all over the place used to buy jerseys every year without fail and pretty much wouldn't allow a bad word to be said against Panthers.. then I gradually saw what was happening.. I see now on twitter the exact same fan(s) doing and being the same.. let's see if they still have the same attitude in 10 years time!
