Can't blame them, they need to protect the integrity of the league, will be interesting to see who sends the best quality of players. I would guess those that still play in their National leagues, Russians, Czechs, Finns, Sweden.

Canada apparently sending three 19 year olds taken 1st,3rd and 5th in the 2021 draft, Owen Power, Mason McTavish and Kent Johnson mixed in with ex NHL players playing in the KHL, SHL, Liiga and DEL.

Good comeback from Finland v Sweden. 14 v 3 SOG in last period brought a 0-3 score line back to a tie and OT 3 on 3 and a win. Reminds me of GB v France.

Quarter Final Play Offs - Whereas the winners go through to the quarter final to play the qualifiers straight off from the round robin.
Slovakia 4 Germany 0 (Slovakia to play USA) = 3-1 ps Denmark 3 Latvia 2 (Denmark to play Russia) = 1-3 Czech Rep. 2 Switz, 4 (Switz. to play Finland) = 1-5 Canada 7 China 2 (Canada to play Sweden) = 0-2
Difficult task for todays winners as the teams they are to play have had a rest and the Quarter finals start straight away within 24 hours.

Was too much of an ask for Switzerland and Denmark, but Slovakia turn over the Americans after a shootout.
Canada and Sweden yet to play.

The SF and F games were very much for the purists. Both teams clogging up the neutral zone, lots of dump and chase and hoping for a turnover.

Boring European style hockey at it's worst. I suppose it's bound to be tight if there is a gold medal at stake. I found the ladies matches enjoyable, god knows what they would be like if they allowed checking, they don't mind putting themselves about !
