Apparently rescheduled for December 29th. Was really hoping for the new year, not only for the fixture congestion, but for the fact that my Christmas Rotas for work are done and I'm not wrangling for changes to be made. Will hope for the morning shift. Is there a source for this or just a rumour for now? I really hope it's not for then as it means an obscene run of fixtures gets worse. Only benefit I suppose is that we might only have one more game between now and Christmas to rest and regroup. |

Agreed, it makes an already busy Panthers schedule a bit worse, but, as all teams are scheduled to play the same number of games and all are in the Cup quarters, and the season finishes at the same time for all, does that mean that the other teams, Steelers especially, have a bit more congestion than Panthers at some stage later? They've only played 2 more games than Panthers have? |

Steelers haven't arranged their Cup quarter dates yet, so you need to add them in at some stage. (Just been announced, I think!? They're not even on the EIHL website yet...)
Steelers have only 2 games less to play than Panthers to 12 April, so the games will come. Maybe a little more spaced out, I grant you, but they're all scheduled to be played.
And doubtless Panthers will lose the Cup quarter, so there's 3 fewer games to play than Steelers will have to...

Between now and 6 January, Steelers actually play 1 more game than Panthers.
From Feb onwards, the average days between games is identical for Panthers and Steelers, at 3.13.
Steelers schedule has more "consecutive day" games than Panthers between now and the end of the season.
Steelers schedule in general is more "regular", to be fair. (15 games with a 4 or more day gap between them between now and the end of the season, as opposed to Panthers' 11.)
Panthers have 2 7 day gaps, Steelers have none.
But I'm sure you knew that.
