Neatly negating last night's win. Wonder how low the Panthers will actually finish in the league? The Panthers organisation charge top end prices but deliver bottom of the barrel scrapings. People need to wake up and smell the cofffee.......It's cold and stale.

Anybody going to this one. I might make the trip down for a look,at least it’ll be warmer in the rink than it is here. Blimey, Iginla contemplating going to panthers game. I’m shocked lol. You made the right choice to miss it though Hey don’t get too excited. It’s only because it’s an away game, the closest one to me and I wouldn’t be putting any money in Panthers pocket by going.

Is anyone else under the impression that a mass clear out is on the cards after Wallace’s comments during the first period break?
It’s certainly very much needed!

Mass clear out indeed.. players coaches and management! I’m not so sure the coaching in the issue. In the 19/20 season, the squad was unbalanced at the start of the season but things started to turn once the recruitment mistakes had been rectified. Wallace has been dealt another poor hand again this season so I don’t think he’s completely at fault. Having said that, the hockey this season has been dull to watch and isn’t entertaining in the slightest but I would assume that has something to do with the poor squad that’s been assembled.

Wallace assembled the team along with Doucet and Wallace is responsible for the style and way his team plays. The only defence he could have is that he can’t get quality for the budget he’s given, but based on tonight Dundee obviously managed it with presumably a lesser budget.

Their new guy was pretty good too which is surprising as there are supposedly no players about

It’s clear that the budget has been drastically reduced, we all know for certain who that is down to though….

Wasnt the much rolled-out BS that we need to build a core? Who the hell would you call the core worth keeping?

All of the other import forwards are just carbon copies of the same player, there’s not many that you would even consider keeping at this stage. The most worrying thing for me is that the poor performances aren’t through a lack of effort, it’s down to the level of quality of the players that have been signed.

There are better things to do

Nothing changes? How can you say that? You can buy SOHB tickets for home AND AWAY games this year!

Last time I was at a game we had the old scoreboard and I was a season ticket holder, well three of us were… none of us have been back as it’s copy and paste year after year… I looked at the roster, pre season, and knew it was a poor, especially as they’d not even signed a full compliment of imports. Despite Pidge defending the roster pre season, I’ve been proved correct, sadly.

This team isn't underperforming, it's not of the required standard to compete.

The lack of physicality and goal scoring has cost us massively

There are a few points in which I believe Doucet and Wallace can be defended. It is quite clear the player market is dry and it was in the summer. Listening to Jonno midweek and he made the point that there is no good making changes if there is nothing better out there. A statement I largely agree with, although at some point soon we may get that desperate it's worth trying anything. Also, as a big team goes, they've been asked to build a team with 1 hand tied their backs regards the budget.
However!, for me the bit where the blame does indeed sit squarely with them is signing 6 3rd line clones. A team in both forward and defence which is entirely unbalanced. So the player market is dry, you are after a power forward with a budget of £500 a week for said player. There just isn't one out there. So you just go and get another said 3rd line clone to fill that gap. Square peg into a round hole. Would it be worth though in order to add something different getting a slightly cheaper round peg? It may only be a power forward who hits, is tough but perhaps produces less. However he does add that dimension you are missing. Even if his CV is ECHL level only. 5 offensive minded Dmen(Well, they all certainly enjoy a wonder deep into the offensive zone). That side of recruitment, regardless of budget sit's squarely will Ducet and Wallace.
No we aint all hockey coaches, or work in the game but it's bloody obvious that this team is missing some key components. Even Iggy can see it without watching the team at all. 😁
